Dogs saved
FIREFIGHTERS rescued two dogs that they found unconscious inside a house on fire in Torrevieja on Friday, August 5. After extinguishing the fire, the firefighters verified that there was nobody inside, but they found two unconscious dogs due to smoke inhalation. After oxygen therapy, both dogs recovered.
Fuel rises
PETROL and diesel prices have risen by two per cent in the last week. Petrol increased by 2.17 per cent and diesel by 2.53 per cent. Despite the hike, petrol and diesel are still three per cent cheaper than this time last year.
AP-7 busier
THE once practically deserted stretch of the AP7 motorway on the Costa Blanca has almost doubled its amount of traffic since the toll booths were scrapped three years ago, reported the Ministry of Transport.
