Sea scorcher Animal sanctuary

TORREVIEJA city council has proposed the company Urdecon as the awardee for the construction of the new animal shelter. It is a project that the local administration has had pending for more than a decade. The infrastructure, valued at €1,424,102, will make it possible to adapt facilities that are currently very insufficient.

The councillor for the area, Concja Sala, indicated that the Urdecón firm, the same one that is carrying out renovation of the park of La Siesta, now has to complete the documentation and guarantees that the City Council has requested. From that moment, the contract can be formalised and the works can begin, with an execution period of 9 months.

The new shelter will have a plot of 3,150 square metres, with a constructed area of 1,121 square metres in an extension of its current location on Avenida de Rosa Mazón with Avenida Nenúfares, next to the new vehicle depot. The entrance will be from Avenida Rosa Mazón. It will have parking, reception facilities, an audiovisual room of almost one hundred square metres, offices, a veterinary consultation room, a room for surgical procedures, a laundry room and a changing room for the staff.
