Teachers strife

MORE than 8,000 teachers are still unaware of their destination for the next academic year in the province of Alicante, which accounts for just over half of the vacancies offered in the Valencian Community.

The Teaching area of the CSI­CSIF union, pointed out that hundreds of teachers are suspending their holidays due to the uncertainty about their destination "because they find themselves not knowing what to do", without forgetting that the further the month of August progresses, the more problems they will have finding accommodation to live in throughout the school year.

“The normal thing is that the placements are given in the last week of July, and on August 1 or 2 everyone knows where they have to go. This year it was expected that it
