Historical site hopes for Altea Old Town By Paul Deed THE Committee for Culture (CVC) of the Valencian Government has issued a favourable report on the potential upgrading of Altea Old Town as a Site of Historical Interest. Unemployment down in Calpe CALPE Mayor Cesar Sanchez has announced that unemployment has fallen to the second lowest level in the Marina Alta region, just behind Denia. Fewer epidurals ONLY 211 epidurals were administered to the 729 women in labour in Virgen de los Lirios Hospital in Alcoy in 2011. The hospital began offering women the anaesthetic only a few years ago. In 2009 and 2010 there were even more births and fewer epidurals were given.
