objective With a strong belief in the philosophy that form relates to function; a well presented and motivated aspiring designer passionate about creating and transforming spaces. With loads of enthusiasm and eager to join a design team. Keen to work and thrives at the chance of learning new skills about all areas design has to offer. Possessing a desire to achieve any goals given. together with proficient communication skills, and willing to take on any training necessary to enable the best outcome.

Young , Hunry and Ambitious design student from the Caribbean Island of Trinidad & Tobago, bringing island warmth and Sunshine while studying Interior Architecture in the UK.

I N T E N T

Born and raised in Trinidad & Tobago, early acquainting myself with the local island design and having lived and studied in both Canada and the United Kingdom, I have interwoven the three cultures together in not only my design philosophy but also my life attitude. I believe that structures within a designed space not only manipulate emotion but each form relates to a dedicated function. As Alina Wheeler famously said, “ design is intelligence made visible. I believe that good design is a result of experimental trial and error with observational human research . Sharing a stronginterest in design solutions and creating spaces that brings out human emotions and behaviours.

INSTALLATION

- S u n d e r l a n d

U K

Protruding from a bed of sand, this installation is dropped within a ruins site in Sunderland England. Inspired by the beautiful matter of glass crossing over with the motion of water, the installation form carries the viewer in a curving motion in , around and through the ruin space, allowing viewers to go along a calming and reflective journey channeling a meditation space. A hidden perspective image is strategically place in the south view , reflecting the original anglo-saxon stained glass window in the near by St.Pauls church on the site.

Studying this elegantly folded timber staircase, encased by clear glass panels .Through detailed drawings and sketches, the beauty of the mix between the wood steel and glass materiality bring beauty to the small detials.

‘Mimic of a shadow’

INspired by the penetration of a beam of light which pierces through a building creating a multiplication of shadow lines, this staircase mimics the action and pattern of the created shadows in three dimentional form. Filtered light then becomes a live interactive structure, where stair treads extend on the 4th and 8th treads specifically to hilight the exact point of a sun spot light which hilights the displayed objects within the built in tread shelves. The treads act like beams of light in its own right by projecting out of the parallel niche wall.

‘BASIC BONES’

Beauty can be seen in the skeletal structure of a buildings foundation.Taking a closer hands on look into the platform framing of a 20’ x 20’ two story house. Looking into the more structural aspect of design, we sometimes over look the most important part whic h is the underlaying foundation. Built to represent proper construction tec hniques suc h as the proper run of the floor joints, columns and stair configeration.
