ACTIVIDAD POLE (ENGLISH): UN DÍA DE CINE “ANGELS´ SHARE”(Ken Loach) (Gobierno de Aragón: Departamento de Educación, Cultura y Deporte)

On Tuesday 24th November 2015, students belonging to 1st Bachillerato and 4th ESO went to the “Auditorium” in Calamocha to watch a film called “Angels´ share”, by Ken Loach.

At first, the teacher explained us some facts about the movie, such as the type of film, director, actors and plot.

Some students from 1st Bachillerato read some texts in English about the film; after that, we saw the film in the original version (Scottish accent) with subtitles in Spanish.

The break was between 11:30 and 12:00. After watching the film, we commented some parts of the film and its music.

PLOT A boy called Robbie has to do community work because of having been involved in several fights. He is about to have a baby and decides to make a change in his life.

Harry, his social worker, introduces him to the business of whisky.

He and his friends travel to Scotland to steal the best whisky in the world and sell it; they do it.

They make a deal with a whisky collector. Albert breaks two bottles on the way home; eventually, they seal the deal, and the gang shares the money. Robbie and his family move to another city to start a new life.
