Evan McKeirnan
Evan McKeirnan’s career in the corporate aviation industry spans nearly three decades, beginning with a strong interest in aviation during his high school years. His passion for aircraft led him to Spokane Community College in Washington, where he earned his FAA Airframe and Powerplant (A&P) Certificates and an Associate degree in Applied Science—Aviation Maintenance. This education served as the foundation for his extensive career in aviation maintenance. In addition to his A&P certification, Evan holds Inspection Authorization (IA), FAA Private Pilot, and Small Unmanned Aircraft System (sUAS) Remote Pilot certifications. He has completed advanced training at FlightSafety International, including Gulfstream G450 and G550 aircraft courses. Over the years, Evan has been recognized for his technical expertise with several awards, including the FAA Silver and Bronze Awards, the AMT Society’s “NextGen 40 under 40” award, and the FlightSafety Savannah Top Troubleshooter Award. Evan’s professional journey began in 1999, when he took on the role of Crew Chief in Van Nuys, California, working on Gulfstream aircraft. His responsibilities proliferated, and he moved into positions such as Chief Inspector and Maintenance Technician, overseeing maintenance for various Gulfstream models. As his experience expanded, he took on senior leadership roles, including West Coast Maintenance Manager and Director of Maintenance, where he managed large aircraft fleets and ensured they met stringent regulatory standards. At Western Jet Aviation, where he served as Chief Inspection and Maintenance Supervisor, Evan played a pivotal role in overseeing complex maintenance operations and managing teams of technicians. He worked on significant projects involving organizations like NASA and Lockheed Martin.
