ANNE CARSO N Canadian poet, essayist, translator and professor of Classics.

Carson wrote this book over 10 years before she ever published. At first, it was not meant to be viewed by others. This book of poetry that defies all normality was but memories she shared with her dear brother has passed. She dealt with his death and coped the only way she knew how, by writing it down. Her book can be described as a complex web of thoughts weaved together to create a shape-shifting story.

HYBRID MEMIOR

CARSON TAKES HER MEMORIES AND PUTS THEM INTO SOMETHING OF A HYBRID MEMOIR. HER BOOK DOESN'T JUST FALL INTO ONE GENRE, IT INCORPORATES POETRY, OLD HANDWRITTEN/TYPED LETTER, COLLAGE AND OLD PHOTOGRAPHS CAREFULLY PLACED. CARSON COULD BE DESCRIBED AS AN ARCHITECT OF PERSONAL HISTORY A RISK TAKER WHO EXPOSES HER TRUEST FEELINGS LEAVING HERSELF VULNERABLE FOR THE WORLD TO SEE. YOU CAN FIND MORE INFORMATION ABOUT GENRES HERE.
