Faculty and Staff

EvCC faculty and staff are recognized as experts in their fields, innovators, and student champions. At EvCC, you’ll find smaller classes with an average of one instructor per 18 students to help you interact with your classmates and receive individual attention from instructors.

Tutoring Center

You’ll have direct access to a brand new tutoring center in our Cascade Learning Resource Center and online. The Tutoring Center is a creative space where students excel in a collaborative environment.

Academic Excellence

Achieving the Dream named Everett Community College a Leader College of Distinction for the second time in 2022, recognizing the college for sustained and significant outcomes in the advancement of student success and for narrowing equity gaps. EvCC is one of only 32 colleges nationwide to earn the honor. EvCC was named one of the top 150 community colleges in the country in 2017 by the prestigious Aspen Institute College Excellence Program.

Industry Opportunities

We are located at the center of a thriving business and technological community that includes a constantly expanding aviation industry. The largest Boeing airplane manufacturing facility is located within 10 miles (16 kilometers) of the college.

Everett and Beyond

Located 25 miles (40km) from Seattle, the city of Everett offers a rich landscape of choices where you’ll find more than 40 parks, trails, golf courses, and open spaces. The Everett waterfront is home to the second largest marina on the West Coast, and if adventure is your thrill, skiing, snowboarding, hiking, and mountain biking are within driving distance.

For sports enthusiasts, Everett is home to the AquaSox baseball team, a High-A minor league team associated with the Seattle Mariners, and the city’s events center is home to the Everett Silvertips, who are part of the Western Hockey League.

Just a few miles from EvCC, you’ll find a bustling downtown full of art galleries, restaurants, theaters, and a variety of shops. And if you’re up for more shopping, Seattle Premium Outlets is a short drive from campus.

Bachelor’s Degree

CHOOSE YOUR OWN ADVENTURE

English Language

Our English preparation program is designed to give you the English language skills you need to succeed in college. You’ll learn more than just the basics of conversation, reading, and writing. Classes incorporate important skills that will help you in your college-level courses. There are only four levels of classes in the program before guaranteed entrance to English 101.

High School Completion

International students who have not yet completed secondary school (or high school) may be able to complete a Washington state high school diploma while earning college credits at the same time. Students must be 18 years old at the time of program start date.

2+2 Program

Receive a bachelor’s degree by completing two years at Everett Community College plus two years at a university. You can stay on campus to earn your bachelor’s degree through the Everett University Center. The center, managed by Washington State University, is located on EvCC’s Everett campus.

Scholarship Opportunities and Jobs on Campus

International Leadership Scholarships are merit-based and available for outstanding international students who demonstrate leadership abilities in extracurricular activities, community service experience, and excellent grades.

International students are also eligible to work on-campus.

Students can generally apply for jobs in various areas on campus, some of which include: Student LIFE, Tutoring Center, Residence Halls, and Maintenance.

International students are required to live on campus for their first academic year.

Housing Options

Everett Community College has two residence halls, Mountain View Hall and Cedar Hall. Choose a private room with your own bathroom in Mountain View or share a 3-bedroom or 4-bedroom apartment with a full kitchen and bathroom in Cedar Hall.

On-Campus Advantages

Both buildings include furnished rooms, free Wi-Fi, all utilities and are located steps away from the EvCC fitness and transit centers. The buildings are protected by EvCC security and have resident assistants to connect students with activities and events.

Off-Campus Experiences

Cedar Hall and Mountain View Hall are located near the college transit center with easy accessibility to coffee shops, restaurants, and more.

MODERN AND UPDATED FACILITIES

Classrooms

Everett Community College students get the latest practices in training for jobs in many fields including aviation, nursing, graphic design, and business. Classrooms are equipped with modern technology and there are over 3,600 computers available to students throughout campus.

Student Spaces

For meeting new people and joining student clubs, visit Parks Student Union where you will find spaces to socialize and study all in one location.

Transportation

With two bus systems running directly to campus, you won’t need to worry about transportation. Bus lines run to locations throughout Everett as well as the greater Puget Sound region.

ATHLETICS AND GYM

Modern Gym

Need a break from studying? Our 49,000-square foot (4,600 m2) fitness center has a cardio and weight training room, climbing wall, gym, and running track. You can also choose from a variety of special fitness classes such as yoga and weight training giving you an opportunity to meet new people as well.

Athletics

Be part of a winning tradition at EvCC by playing for one of our athletic teams, or grab your friends and cheer on the Trojans. EvCC offers 11 intercollegiate sports including basketball, soccer, cross country, baseball, softball, and volleyball.

STUDENT LIFE

You’ll find plenty to do outside the classroom when you get involved in your campus community! You can join a variety of student clubs. Attend exciting campus events including: concerts, comedians, and other free activities. Build your skills as a leader by joining the Student Senate or seeking out other paid student leadership positions.

APPLICATION REQUIREMENTS

• International student application.

• Official transcripts from secondary school (high school) and from college or university.

• Financial statement (current-less than 6 months old) certifying sufficient financial support for at least one academic year (nine months).

• $40 non-refundable application fee.

• TOEFL/IELTS score (optional, not required).

• Copy of your current passport photo page.

Transfer Students:

If you are an international student currently attending college in the U.S. and you wish to transfer to EvCC, submit the following additional items: transfer-in verification form, copy of visa, copy of all previously issued I-20s.

All new international students are required to live on campus during their first academic year.
