ACTIVITY: PAPER AIRPLANE Talking to someone new can feel strange, but sharing how you think can help you find other people interested the same things as you. In this activity, you will answer the questions on the airplane sheet below. When you are finished, create your air plane using the dotted lines to help you fold. Test out your airplane by aiming towards someone new you would like to talk to. (It’s okay if someone else picks up your plane!) Find that person and start talking about what each of you wrote.
NAME: WHAT DO YOU ENJOY TALKING ABOUT? DO YOUR FRIENDS LIKE TO TALK ABOUT THESE THINGS TOO? HOW WOULD YOU DESCRIBE YOUR FRIENDS? HOW WOULD YOU LIKE YOUR FRIENDS TO TREAT YOU? WHAT IS SOMETHING NEW YOU WANT TO TRY WITH A FRIEND?
DID YOU ENJOY THIS ACTIVITY? Try talking to someone new outside the classroom using the questions you liked best, or make up your own!

OR WRITE YOUR OWN!
Get together with your friends and have each person write some things on a piece of paper: 1) How do I feel about the person I have a crush on? 2) What do I like about that person? 3) How do I act around that person? Write so that no one can guess who you are or who your crush is! For example, you could write: I like my crush because they are very smart. Sometimes I think I am mean to them and then they are mad at me. Then mix up the papers and have everyone take a random paper out of the pile. Read the papers out loud and talk about what each person wrote. You can even give advice on what that person should do next.
