Art Pop Deadline: March 3, 2017 The Charleston Regional Alliance for the Arts, ArtPop Street Gallery and Adams Outdoor Advertising have teamed up to showcase five local visual artists on billboards throughout the tri-county. TEDDY BEAR PICNIC March 5, 2017; 1:30 - 4:30 pm Hampton Park Bring your teddy to Hampton Park for the Charleston Parks Conservancy’s Teddy Bear Picnic. Entertainment includes kidfriendly musical entertainment, puppets, hip hop dancing and a bear fashion show. Activities include the Teddy Care Station, face painting, seed planting, cookie decorating, crafts and a teddy bear parade. Pack a picnic and chairs or enjoy eats from local food trucks. Parker Bear, the star of a new book published by the Charleston Parks Conservancy, “Here, There and Everywhere with Parker Bear,” will also be at the Picnic. The children’s book, written by the Conservancy’s volunteer Park Angels and photographed by Libby Williams, follows Parker Bear on a Charleston parks adventure, visiting 10 city parks before meeting his friends at Hampton Park for the Teddy Bear Picnic.
