The Season’s Hottest Trends
LET’S TAKE a look at the 10 best trends for summer 2022: 1. Color: Bright, fun hues are evident in all the summer designs. Finally, everyone is loving color... not just the southern ladies! 2. Dresses: Casual, comfy dresses are the coolest thing to “throw on and go” as the weather warms up. 3. Sneakers: Again, a comfy style that’s right on trend! Pair your sneakers with everything from jeans to the casual dresses mentioned above. 4. Linen: Linen is always a summer staple because of its cool and flowy nature, but this season it’s stronger than ever! 5. Black and white: It defies time and keeps its well-earned place on the runway this season. Let’s face it, you can’t go wrong with the traditional black and white outfit... and the designers know it. 6. Bold prints: Take a walk on the wild side this season and keep a look out for bold patterns and color blocking prints. 7. Mixed metal jewelry: Mixing silver, gold, and even rose gold is a fun way to incorporate all of your favorite jewelry pieces. 8. Flowy, oversized tops: Pair them with jeans, joggers, or a straight leg pant. 9. Statement earrings: Add some interest to your outfit with a bold seed bead, raffia, or acrylic earring. 10.Wide leg pants: The ‘70s are calling, and we’ve answered! This once popular silhouette is back and better than ever.
As always, we invite you to visit The Lily Pad, where you’ll find well-trained sales associates ready to assist you with your summer wardrobe updates. Beyond Retirement
BY TRAVIS CULLMAN, CFP ®, CPFA
IMAGINE YOU’RE planning a once-in-alifetime trip with someone special in your life. You book the location and airfare, and you meticulously line-up caretakers for your house and other affairs at home. You catch your flight and arrive at your destination only to realize you forgot one important detail - your vacation plans never made it past your arrival!
You and your loved one scramble to fill in the daily itinerary by calling the local restaurants for reservations and quickly researching local attractions and entertainment. You manage to “wing it” the first few days, but soon you’re frustrated because you’re spending more time figuring out the “what” and “where” than enjoying vacation and making memories.
I’m sure you would never plan a trip like this. What a nightmare! But are you treating retirement any differently? Are you simply trying to get to a destination, or are you planning for the journey after? What happens beyond retirement? Will you be financially secure? How do you plan for you and your loved one’s health needs? And perhaps the most important question of all - will you thrive in these golden years? Do you have a plan to spend your time, money, and abilities doing the things you enjoy with the ones you love?

Today, Pam and her daughters are in the bakery working hard and taste-testing everything to make sure it’s wonderful! They have also added a variety of vegan, dairy-free, paleo, and Keto items.
Their bakery case is filled daily with a variety of scones, cinnamon rolls, brownies, cookies, cupcakes, and other delicious desserts. Be sure to try a BYL smoothie! For lunch, choose from quiche, sandwiches, scoops, and paninis.

More to Love About Honeybee
HONEYBEE COFFEE, with four locations in East Tennessee, is now Honeybee Coffee & Brewery! Honeybee owner, Norris Hill, has teamed up with brewer extraordinaire, Steve Dedman, to begin offering up special brewed in-house beer flavors specifically for Honeybee customers. With 10 varieties available, you’re sure to find a favorite! All have original names like Salute to The Hill, All Night Honey, and Scruffy Little Kitty that range from very light Pilsners to dark ales.
Ethically sourced, locally roasted, and locally brewed coffees have been a staple at veteran-owned Honeybee since 2017, and Norris is excited to expand their menu. Along with the new brewery, Honeybee will now offer food from the crew at Knox Wurst Thursday through Saturday at their west location beginning around 5 pm. With apps, salads, burgers, and quesadillas available, Norris says the menu is “bougie but approachable.”
When the Knoxville News Sentinel interviewed the two men on the day of their Grand Opening, they commented about their new endeavor and unique beers:
“The food, the beer, the coffee, everything that we provide, we try to do it as best we can while honoring the people that created and brewed it,” said Norris. “The experience is community, a place to slow down and be taken care of. My hope is when they walk out of the door, their day is so much better.”
“I am really excited about it; it will be something you can get nowhere else,” said Steve. “All Night Honey is a hyperlocal beer. The coffee is roasted in Knoxville, the beer is brewed
