Lights! Camera! East Tennessee! An exhibit that chronicles Knoxville’s contributions to film and Hollywood history at East Tennessee History Center through July 3rd. Open 9 am to 4 pm daily. Free admission on Sundays.

In [ ] We Trust, an exhibition curated by Knoxville native Alex Gingrow, at UT Downtown Gallery through August 5th.

Dawn of the Dinosaurs at Zoo Knoxville from 9 am to 5 pm daily through September 4th.

JUNE 8

Disney’s Beauty and the Beast by the Tennessee Valley Players, in collaboration with the UT’s School of Music Choral Area, at the new St. Gregory the Great Auditorium (Knoxville Catholic High School) at 7:30 pm. Also the 8th - 11th and 15th - 18th, Thursdays & Fridays at 7:30 pm, Saturdays at 3 & 7:30 pm, Sundays at 3 pm.

JUNE 9

Knoxville Children’s Theatre presents Tinker Bell at 7 pm. Also June 10th - 11th, 15th - 18th, and 22nd - 25th; Thursdays and Fridays at 7 pm, Saturdays at 1 & 5 pm, and Sundays at 3 & 6 pm.

Movies Under the Stars: Shrek at Ijams Nature Center. Doors open at 7 pm, movie begins at dark.

Gangstagrass at the Bijou Theatre at 8 pm.

JUNE 10

Downtown Home Tour at the East Tennessee History Center from 10 am to 4 pm.

WDVX Kidstuff Live with Smiley & the LoveDawg at WDVX (301 South Gay Street) from 10 to 11 am.

World’s Largest Kids’ Party featuring food trucks, shows, waterslides, sports, and more at World’s Fair Park from 10 am to 5 pm.

Vintage Base Ball: Living History Day triple header at Historic Ramsey House. Lightfoot Club of Chattanooga vs Knoxville Holstons at 11 am, Cumberland Club of Nashville vs Knoxville Holstons at 1:30 pm, and Quicksteps of Spring Hill vs Emmett Machinists of Knoxville at 3:30 pm. Free!

Second Saturday Concerts at the Cove at Concord Park in Farragut from 6 to 8 pm. Free!

The WordPlayers: Staged Reading of The Explorers Club in the Square Room at 7 pm.
