Hypnotic Appeal

When people come to Hong Kong for the first time, they will definitely appreciate the strong unique style of the city. Repeated elements and bright colors make them feel like they have come to a new world. This feeling is fascinating, hypnotic, and attractive. There are a lot of recurring geometric patterns on the building of Hong Kong, which could make people easily associate with squares and plaids. Unlike traditional plaids, Hong Kong’s are hypnotic, with bright or even neon colors, The inspiration of the trend are all derived from the streetscape of Hong Kong. During the daytime, the different colors of the building are match each other. At night, the buildings are shadowed by the darkness become a black background, and the neon lights become the focus of people’s vision.
