A whole lotta love An intensely passionate person Campbell Addy, goes by the name of Campbell, lives with his boyfriend on the top floor of a flat in Elephant and Castle. The Ghanaian descendant’s room is replete with an immaculate collec@on of Doc Marten’s boots. “I have so many memories in this room, too many sweet ones, but at the moment I’m looking for a new cheaper place to live, a lot of hassle but it has to be done”. He moved to London from his ‘born and raised’ town Croydon, to pursue his passion in a global challenging world of art and fashion. Looking all agitated he con@nued “I feel like I am doing the right course now, although it was a struggle at first, now I know that my love of photography will take me far away”. Having doubts from his family that doing a fashion course is rather frivolous. “ I always believe in what I love, and I will chase it to the very end, so despite the fact that I don’t have that full emo@onal support from my family, I s@ll believe in my drive to pursue a career in fashion”. In every single aspect of his life, he is a so called love-‐driven person, including his love for his boyfriend Eddie. ALer a long six months of fooling around, he was finally ready to take on Eddie to be in his part of life. In a most roman@c yet creepy way he met up with his lover through an online da@ng websites.
“Hahaha, it’s really weird isn’t it? I never thought this could work, but hey it did.” ALer a long chat and endless texts, they agreed to meet up in London when Eddie’s ini@al plan was just having a holiday. ALer commiPng his love for Eddie, he was taking a big risk to ask Eddie to come and stay with him in London. “It was a massive risk, knowing that he has got no family, no friends and basically no life here, then again, I always follow what my heart says”.
“ I always believe in what I love, and I will chase it to the very end”.
Having firmly established/made himself in the best fashion university in the world, Central Saint Mar@ns, Campbell Addy is now in the pleasant posi@on of doing something that he really loves. Although fashion photography is his main passion, he has been preparing himself for any kind of work that might not relate to photography but will lead him up to it. Hoping that someday he could be standing on his own two feet and mark his name as a renowned fashion photographer. “My number one reason why I love photography so much is because it is all about capturing my visions, my ideas, into something tangible”. Believing that he is s@ll a long way to go, he laughingly said “Haha my aim in life is to work hard, learn hard, laugh hard and love hard. In life it is all about the process along the way, and surely I will enjoy it”. When it’s all about following his intui@on for Campbell, teaching English in some Asian countries would be his last resort if life will turn on a different take.
