Dimas Mickey
Born and raised in Spain and decided to move to London two years ago to pursue carrier in fashion. A girl with a very sweet persona, but sometimes can be a bit tricky as she is known as a complainer. But when it comes to fashion, drawing, and friendship, she hits the top notch amongst the three of us.
A genuinely happy go lucky kind of girl, as nothing could ever makes her sad (ever). Born and raised in Japan, but had been told not to watch crayon sinchan as a kid, is rather a disturbing fact. Goes by mimi, she is a true fashionista, and would dress up or down, with a shock value, in a very unique, witty, charming possible way.
A boy who always says he doesn’t have a problem but wishes. Always willing to try anything (once), and managed to never master anything but a love warrior on his belt. Fashion is the easiest and most comfortable way to escape from the reality and be another moron in the name of a fashion.

Mehrdad Kamali, aka Mehr lives alone on the top floor of a flat in Aldgate east. The Scottish born man’s room is replete with avant garde-ish wardrobe, an immaculate shoe collection and a walk in closet full of garment samples. “ This place has more meaning to me than any other place, it is my mini studio” he said. In the past week he has been receiving many invitations for London Fashion Week 2012. Looking all agitated towards the particular week, in his own words “A holiday week”, where he can have a get-together rendezvous with all of his colleagues in the London fashion world and last but most importantly, free champagne. a Mehrdad Kamali piece.
MEHRDAD KAMALI Mehrdad Kamali, is one of the unsung fashion designers working in Flick Fashions, a company specialising in servicing retailers both great and small worldwide in East London. An elegantly form approach to daily wear dress, a beautifully intricate floral printed tops, a fantasy-driven silhouette are the common elements that make up
Creating womenswear designs since 2000 for high street shops including, TopShop, River Island, New Look, and Next. Kathryn Thompson, sales manager for New Look said “We have been a loyal client for three years now. Fashion Flicks gives us a lot of beautiful designs especially coming from Mehrdad, because they are able to reach what our customers desire, and the sales number have been pretty good”. The man has been lauded by the industry but are still relatively unknown to those outside.
Mehr moved to London in 2000, when he was 23 years old. “I was in the oddest stage of my life, I was having a mini bipolar disorder, which resulted in me feeling like I have had enough of Scotland and that requires me to move out of the city but I didn’t know where would I be. The process did not done what I had thought it would. I went to New York to get away from it – at first my initial idea was just to get crazily wasted but at this party I was introduced to Alia Baker who offered me a job at a showroom in Manhattan’s fashion district”. After a year of hasty experience in the fashion world, he then decided to go back home but this time he aimed to work in the fashion industry in London.
“My number one reason for accepting work is because it’s with people I like. Sometimes fashion can be mediocre and monotonous. My aim is to collaborate with clients and produce what it is required, while hopefully enjoying the process. Fortunately I can now after more than 10 years in the industry. It is be a little cultivated”.
After assisting the women’s knitwear team for a year at Burberry in 2000, Mehr was looking for something more, then he decided to join the company he is currently working on. “So basically once every two months, I have a meeting with the sales and buyer team from our client, and I pitched out the ideas, design and the research to forecast the upcoming trend. If they like them then I will follow it up by giving them samples, and the list goes on”. His designs for summer 2012 is currently approved successfully by TopShop, he is having a blast. “God I could go on boring you forever about it! I really do think it is amazing to create garments and objects with which you have complete control over the way they are engineered” he added. Having firmly established himselves as the go-to designers for a high street fashion shops, Mehrdad Kamali are now in the pleasant position of working on the projects he really want. Although fashion marketing are the company’s main focus, since 2008 he has been working on his own design, creating an imaginative and utopia-like designs. Hoping that someday he could be standing on his own feet and mark his own name as a renowned designer.
Peasant Bound for Glory (rock&Indie) Damien Dejose, the singer, has been making moody folk tunes under the pseudonym/stage name of Peasant since 2008. His latest offering, Bound for Glory, is arguably the most thoughtful, effortless sounding record to date. This album is a collection of first person narratives, sung through DeRose’s distinctive heart felt style. His style shines when he strips it back to basics – the acoustic. For that people who: like relaxing and plenty of feelings music. Key song: Bound for Glory BTRKT made his name hiding behind a mask, remixing the likes of M.I.A Basement Jaxx and Modeselektor.this album is a mix of shiny vocals with tight, accelerated textures is steeped deep in a glorious combination of twostep, UK funky, dubstep, US RnB and Chicago house. Add that to the compendium of a killer pop sensibility, infectious bubbling rhythms, unbridled energy and astounding curation from the man in the mask, and what we have here is the promise of this decade’s Timbaland. For that people who: likes weird mix of styles. Key song: right thing to do (feat: Jessie Ware)
LCD Soundsytem debuted with “ Losing My Edge”, a single that became one of the most talked-about indie releases of 2002. A self effacing spoof of the outrageous pissing contests that often occur whenever music geeks cross paths laid over a putterng electronic beat with the occasional bursts of discoid clutter. James Murphy, the man behind both LCD Soundsystem and DFA, to be one of the coolest people on the planet. Hailing from London, Hot Chip entered the picture with the release of their 2000 debut, Mexico. The EP was issued by Victory Garden Records, a label owned and operated by members of London’s resident lo-fi psychedelic rock institution Southhall Riot. The Mexico EP was a hypnotic was of subtle , nearly subliminal –pulse like techno beats, accoustic guitars, and plinky pianos, but the vocals were the true star of the show.

MILK AND HONEY
You could walk past the door of this Soho speakeasy every day and never know it was there, and that's just how the owners like it. For most of the week, Milk & Honey is open only to members (£250 a year, plus a £50 joining fee). Note though: it's a members' club most of the time, although the rest of us can book a table in the early evening for two hours maximum, as long as you book at least a day in advance, and arrive before 9pm.
