Higher Hanseatic School of Management in Słupsk was founded in April 1995 under the name Academy of Management. It was entered into the register of non-public schools maintained by the Ministry of Education under number 54. The founder of the academy is Pomorska Agencja Rozwoju Regionalnego S.A. [Pomeranian Regional Development Agency]. The authorities of the academy wanted to be actively engaged in the process of creating contemporary Europe and they undertook certain actions, as a result of which the name of the academy was changed into Higher Hanseatic School of Management. The main objective of Higher Hanseatic School of Management is to educate young talented Polish people who can achieve ambitious goals and become the part of the new European society. In this respect, by adopting its strategy, Higher Hanseatic School of Management in Słupsk will participate in all actions that aim at increasing the competitiveness of Pomeranian Region in Poland and in Europe.
At the Faculty of Management students gain knowledge and skills in management and management-related sciences, including the nature, regularities and problems related to the operation of the following organizations: companies, public institutions and state security structures. Students also gain skills in recognizing, diagnosing and solving problems associated with human, material and financial resources management and management of information in organizations. Upon graduation students will be able to perform basic management functions in organizations.

Financial Management The aim of this course is to provide students with the following skills: Finance and accounting Operation of financial institutions and banks Analysis of economic and financial situation of a business unit Identifying and solving problems related to financial management when being self-employed Identifying and solving economic problems in businesses, financial institutions and local government units. This course is designed to provide students with the knowledge and skills necessary to pursue their professional career as a financial analyst, financial adviser, mortgage adviser, mortgage analyst, banker, insurance agent and broker, factoring and leasing agent. The aim of the course is to facilitate students’ ability to understand the financial rules. Students of this course should not only understand the basic concepts and relations between them, but they must also learn when and how to apply these skills and knowledge in their professional life. Therefore, during the course students learn, among other things, how to use the accounting data, how financial markets operate, how price formation in securities works. The course helps the students to understand how and why companies make particular financial and investment decisions and how they prepare and implement its financial policy.

Courses schedule Postgraduate courses at Higher Hanseatic School of Management in SĹ‚upsk are two-semester courses that consist of 10 weekend sessions (Saturdays and Sundays). Classes start at 9 a.m. and finish at 5 p.m. Postgraduate certificates shall be awarded to students who received 60 ECTS credits, passed all exams, submitted final thesis or took the final exam (if required). Upon graduation, students are awarded postgraduate certificate in accordance with the provisions of the Ministry of Science and Higher Education. Modern Human Resources Management The aim of the course: The aim of this course is to provide students with theoretical and practical knowledge of modern human resource management in terms of organization, department and individual. Developing the best practices in HR will be supported with workshops and management skills training. Upon completion of the course, graduates will be able to shape more deliberate professional career and successfully manage subordinated units having achieved the understanding of employees’ development consisting in employee aptitude testing, developing their time and stress management skills etc. Skills: Graduates of this course become professionals in human resource management. Project Management – Project Manager The aim of the course: The aim of this course is to provide professionals with additional managerial skills or familiarize students with basic managerial skills associated with project management and preparing them to pursue the career of Project Manager. Upon graduation of this course, students will have a command of initial skills to pursue the work of a Project Manager or start their professional career as Project Manager Assistant. Skills: Upon completion of the course, students will demonstrate substantive and technical skills necessary for: identification of sources for particular project, preparation of project application in compliance with required documents (based on applications for projects to be implemented and co-financed from EU funds), managing project progress and evaluation of its results.
