Features and benefits

Oven cavity Generation 5000 offers a choice of oven capacity to suit different needs. The 60 cm tall ovens offer an impressive 76 litres with oven trays 17% larger than on models with 56 litre cavity. The compact oven offers a 49 litre oven cavity making it ideal for the smaller household, as a second oven or in a perfectly aligned horizontal combination with a steam oven and a coffee machine, for example.

Numbered shelf levels Generation 5000 single ovens offer five cooking levels and compact ovens three.

Each shelf level is number embossed into the oven cavity. This links in with Miele’s cooking philosophy where shelf levels are recommended in Automatic programmes or in the locally devised recipes from the Home Economist team on the culinary website www.alacarte.miele.com.au.

Sensor baking With Miele’s patented sensor moisture control on automatic baking programmes, you are guaranteed perfect results every time. The sensors inside the oven measure the amount of oxygen and vapours being emitted, and can tell when your cake is ready. There is no guesswork involved and the oven switches off automatically once finished.

Automatic slow cooking Meat is gently roasted at a low temperature for a long period of time retaining the natural aromas of the meat for tender and succulent results.

Moisture Plus Miele recognises that moisture is critical in obtaining perfect results across many different food types. The Moisture Plus function introduces exactly the right amount of moisture to create the perfect dish.

Wireless food probe Top of the range ovens offer a wireless food probe. By monitoring the core temperature of the food you are assured of perfect results without having to oversee the cooking process.

Wireless food probe stored in the door When not in use the food probe is stored in a discreet holder in the oven door.

Food probe Mid-range appliances offer a corded food probe for precise monitoring of the core temperature, and automatic switch-off when the desired result is reached.

Pyrolytic cleaning For effortless maintenance this self-cleaning programme reduces food residues to ash which can be simply wiped away. On top of the range appliances this programme is sensor controlled, with the cleaning duration calculated automatically. The time left is shown in the display. An AirClean catalyser ensures odours are taken care of, too.

PerfectClean The oven interior as well as the baking trays, universal tray and racks have been treated with PerfectClean to ensure total cleaning convenience.

Halogen lighting With up to three sets, this sophisticated illumination provides exceptionally bright lighting conditions throughout the oven cavity.

Controls and programmes Miele’s H 5000 ovens come with a choice of controls including black metal selector dials and backlit touch button controls, illuminated selector dials and Navitronic sensor touch controls.

A standard package of eight cooking functions is available on all H 5000 ovens, with models up the range offering more sophistication and programme functions.

Automatic programmes now feature on mid-range ovens with over 50 automatic programmes available. High-end products now have over 90 automatic programmes, all of which are intuitive and easy to use.

Side hinged doors The H 5681 BP oven is available with the door hinged on the right or left hand side.

This provides a 110° door opening angle for easy access and convenience.

CleanSteel Miele’s stainless steel appliances have been given a special finish that is resistant to fingerprints and soiling. Simply wipe with a damp cloth for exceptionally low maintenance.

Soft-close door mechanism An anti-slam hydraulic damper fitted into the door hinge enables the door to be closed quietly and gently.

Reduced surface temperature For a safe to touch front, the oven door has up to four panes of glass and features a special coating that reflects heat back into the oven. This saves energy and prevents the oven door becoming too hot. In addition, it is sealed and easy to keep clean.

AirClean catalyser To minimise odours escaping into the kitchen, all mid and high-end models feature an air clean catalyser for baking, roasting and pyrolytic cleaning programmes. This device is maintenance-free over the life of the oven.

Catalytic liner Single ovens without pyrolytic cleaning are fitted with a catalytic liner in the back of the oven cavity. At temperatures above 250 °C, fat is oxidised so this diďŹƒcult to access surface requires no further cleaning.

FlexiClip telescopic runners The optional FlexiClip telescopic runners make unloading and loading away from the heat of the oven very easy. They are simply clipped into the existing shelf runners and are PerfectClean coated for easy maintenance.

Safe inner door surface All 60 and 90 cm wide Miele ovens have a perfectly smooth inner door surface without nooks and crannies so that it can not only safely carry up to 15 kg when you need to rest a casserole dish on it, for example, but it is also very easy to clean.

Other programmes

Fan plus This function works by heating air over a ring element in the back of the oven and circulating it around the oven cavity. With even heat distribution, you can bake and roast on different levels at the same time with this function.

Fan heat This function uses the top and bottom elements together with the fan to distribute hot air around the oven.

Fan grill The infra-red grill and circulation fan work together to quickly distribute heat from the grill element around the food.

Full grill This function uses the whole of the top element for grilling.

Economy grill This function only uses the inner section of the top element for grilling.

Intensive bake This function combines Fan plus with Bottom heat to cook food which requires a moist topping and a crisp base.

Defrost This function uses the fan to circulate air, either at room temperature or up to a maximum of 50 °C. Conventional heat This function uses the top and bottom elements at the same time.

Bottom heat Using bottom heat only, this function is perfect for finishing off pastry bases and for cooking with a bain marie.

Rapid heat up The oven uses top and fan heat together with the fan to heat the oven up to the selected temperature in in a minimum of time. This is available on most ovens either integrated or as a separate function.

Top heat This function uses the top element only, and is ideal for browning and finishing dishes with cheese, or meringue toppings.

Auto roast This programme automatically sears and seals meat at 230 °C before continuing the roasting process at the lower, pre-selected temperature. Used in conjunction with the roast probe, you can achieve perfect results.

Slow cooking This programme cooks using a low temperature for a long time, making it ideal for slowly roasting meat dishes where a very tender result is wanted.

Moisture Plus This programme uses the Fan plus function together with steam ensuring perfect results for a wide range of foods from bread to roast meat.

Sabbath With this programme the oven will operate for 72 hours at a particular temperature enabling families to use the oven during religious holidays.

Automatic programmes With automatic programmes you simply select the type of food and set how well done you want it to be. The oven calculates the function, temperature and duration for optimum results.

User favourites You can set the function, temperature and time for up to 30 of your favourite dishes and then save them to memory with a name of your choice ensuring perfect results time and time again.

Mid-range ovens with Moisture Plus

In addition to the features of the H 5000 entry-line ovens, these oven feature Moisture Plus, an ingenious function that allows the budding chef to inject steam into the roasting or baking process for optimum results. Perfect for croissants, it is also excellent for roasts, i.e. the steam renders the fat and the inside stays juicy and succulent.

You have the choice of automatic injection and when you become more experienced, you can fine-tune the process and inject one, two or three bursts of steam manually.

To use, it is as simple as feeding water into a spout (the oven takes in as much as needed) from where it is pumped into a tank outside of the cabinet, heated and inserted into the oven.

Miele’s system is an active moisture management system, and thus not just a passive retention of moisture released from food.

The steam is created in a separate tank outside the inner cabinet, and then inserted into the oven. Moisture Plus is eectively a Fan Plus operating mode, however, with the benefit of additional moisture when you feel it is needed for perfect results.

Features and benefits

A true 90 Miele’s 90 cm ovens offer a massive 90 litres of cooking space so there’s plenty of room for catering for the whole family.

As you would expect from an oven this size there is a wide range of programmes to choose from as well as up to 90 Automatic programmes to take the guesswork out of cooking. There is even a double rotisserie offering room to spit roast two joints at once.

Other features on the 90 cm oven include speedlight illumination and polyphonic tones for the different functions and a 200 hour battery back-up for the clock just in case there’s a power cut.

The 3-D Navitronic control panel The control panel is ergonomically angled for ease of use and offers sensor touch Navitronic controls behind a flush glass panel.

Every function has a recommended temperature allocated to it so you don’t need to make a choice. This makes for simple and safe operation with optimum results every time you use the oven.

Changing the temperature is a simple procedure and you can even re-programme the recommended temperature to suit your style of cooking.

SpeedLight illumination Three-tone lighting between the control panel and the door handle changes from yellow through to orange and red to let you know how hot the oven temperature is. It looks so good you can even use it as feature lighting in the kitchen when the oven is not in use.

TwinPower fans Two elements and two fans in the back wall of the oven ensure powerful and even heat distribution throughout the oven cavity, assuring you of outstanding results.

Halogen lighting 4 bright halogen lights illuminate the whole of the oven cavity for excellent visibility, regardless of which shelf level is used.

Moisture Plus Miele recognises that moisture is critical in obtaining perfect results across many dierent food types. The Moisture plus function introduces exactly the right amount of moisture to create the perfect dish.

Wireless food probe This food probe is simple to use with no cables getting in the way. And when it’s not in use it simply slots into a special holder in the oven door.

Miele’s microwave combination ovens offer a choice of traditional cooking functions and microwave solo or a combination of the two, making them extremely versatile kitchen helpers. With the same design features as those found on other built-in appliances, they can be combined very effectively.

Microwave solo Microwave solo is ideal for cooking, reheating and defrosting food quickly.

Because the heat is produced in the food itself food can be prepared without adding much liquid or cooking oil and colours and nutrients are retained.

Microwave combination programmes The microwave combination programmes use a standard cooking function together with microwave energy enabling food to be reheated and cooked quickly with even browning results.

Oven interior The 49 litre oven cavity is illuminated with bright halogen lighting for a good overview of cooking in progress.

The interior is stainless steel with a scratch-resistant linen finish that has been PerfectClean finished for easy cleaning.

Safety features Miele's door lock ensures that the door cannot be opened during microwave cooking and a system lock can be activated to prevent the controls being used unintentionally.

Food probe The H 5080 BM comes with a corded food probe for precise temperature controlled roasting.

Fleet design look The fascia matches with other H 5000 series appliances and has a wider handle, backlit sensor controls and a large display with user navigation for easy operation.

The top of the range model also oers automatic programmes and user favourites for greater versatility.

Microwave ovens

Miele microwave ovens are available with a generous capacity of 26 litres for building into a suitable furniture housing unit.

A 26 litre capacity freestanding model is also available.

The microwaves enter the oven and are reflected off the roof, walls and floor into the centre of the turntable to ensure even cooking, re-heating and defrosting.

You have a choice of outputs with optimum levels for cooking, re-heating and defrosting.

The ovens come with three pre-set quick start programmes and one frequently used programme can be stored in the oven’s memory.

Safety Two integrated thermostats ensure added safety. They control the temperature in the oven and switch it off automatically if it overheats.

The oven controls can be locked to prevent operation of the microwave.

Temperature hold function If you don’t want to take the food out immediately, the oven will ensure that it doesn’t go cold. The temperature hold function will come on automatically at the end of the programme and keep the food hot for up to 15 minutes.

CleanSteel Miele’s stainless steel appliances have been given a special new finish that is resistant to fingerprints and soiling. Simply wipe with a damp cloth for exceptionally low maintenance.

Browning element The quartz grill is ideal for browning and crisping. It can be used by itself or in combination with the microwave function for even quicker cooking.

External steam generator Miele steam ovens have an external generator for creating steam. It is released when it is needed for perfect results ensuring taste, colour and vitamins are retained.

The touch control fascia and stylish exterior on the CVA 3000 range conceal a host of ingenious mechanisms. The capsule magazine has five chambers for a total of 20 capsules. Versatile installation options Miele warming drawers can be combined with other appliances in a 60 cm wide tall unit. They make the ideal companion to Miele’s built-in single ovens, coffee machines, steam ovens and compact ovens.

Even heat distribution A hot air fan in the drawer ensures rapid and uniform heat distribution, even when fully laden.

Sensor controls Miele warming drawers have discreet sensor controls along the front of the drawer with pre-set programmes for crockery and food and a timer to automatically switch the appliance off after a set length of time.

Soft-close Miele’s food warming drawers have a soft-close mechanism, so your crockery is handled gently and food won’t spill when the drawer is closed. An anti-slip mat provides a secure base and is easily removed for cleaning.
