Kudos & Recognition

Congratulations to Olivia Witherite, Athletic Trainer for providing excellent care at a recent wrestling state championship tournament. Happy Athletic Training Month to Olivia and all of our Athletic Trainers.

"During last Thursday's match, my youngest son experienced an illegal slam by his opponent. He came down on his head/neck and immediately the referees called the illegal move. What happened next is why I am writing you today. Olivia was immediately on the mat with my son assessing him. Not only was she was incredibly thorough in her medical assessment of him, but her calming demeanor is what my husband and I appreciated the most. Our boys have been wrestling since they were little so we've seen our fair share of slams and tough positions on the mat but this was a first for our family. Fortunately, he was able to get up and walk off the mat but he was definitely shaken up. I credit Olivia whole heartedly for keeping him calm in what was a scary situation for him. Olivia's follow up is to be noted as well. She did a thorough examination of him later that evening after the match and she examined him again prior to Friday's matches. Olivia made sure I had her contact information in case I had any questions or needed her for anything. I was so incredibly impressed by Olivia and her care for my son and I hope you are able to share this with her and the entire team."
