Over the past 38 years, Latrobe Area Hospital Aid Society (LAHAS) has been hosting the Children’s Health Fair. This year, 550 third grade students from Latrobe, Derry and Ligonier School Districts participated in an exciting learning experience with an emphasize on basic good health and wellness concepts. There were 12 learning stations, with the following being represented by Excela Health: Dangers of Tobacco/Vaping, Latrobe Family Medicine Residency; Robotic Medicine, Excela Advanced Lung Center; Concussion Prevention, Excela Concession Dr. Jim Masterson; Wheel of Good Nutrition, Excela Well-Being Center; Yoga, Excela Well-Being Center. Serving from LAHAS: Lorraine Burd, Children’s Health Fair Chairperson and Jan Mills and Carolyn Dillon, Co-Chairs.
