2020 Grief Support Group Schedule Excela Health offers multiple group options for grief support. Life can feel overwhelming after the loss of a loved one. For many, it is a time of feeling alone and powerless. In a safe and supportive environment, our Bereavement Counselors invite you to share your stories with others who grieve. Excela Health offers a variety of bereavement support groups including men’s grief support, social support, mindfulness and creative healing and more. For a full list of groups click here. Neighborhood Kids Grief Support Neighborhood Kids is a family-based grief support program designed to bring families together during a time of loss and sadness. The program utilizes alternative therapies such as art, music and pets. Groups are available in ages 5 to 8 and ages 9 to 14. In June of 2020 Neighborhood Teens, for kids ages 15 to 19 will launch. Neighborhood Teens utilizes similar therapies as the kids program. For more information on Neighborbood Kids, click here.

Your Financial Checkup Washington EAP services will release a new online seminar free to Excela Health employees on January 21 that will walk you through a “financial checkup,” guiding you through the necessary steps to examine your finances. You do not have to register in advance to attend. For access to the webinar, click here and use the Work-Life login code “excela” and clicking on “Online Seminars” to find all available seminars.

Latrobe Runner Knows it’s Never Too Late to Get Moving Darlene Upson, Excela Health retiree, was 53 years old the first time she ran in a footrace. Now Upson wants to run a half-marathon on her 80th birthday. Read more.

Westmoreland Hospitality Shop New Winter Hours The Westmoreland Hospitality Shop has instituted winter hours. The new hours are now Monday through Friday, 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. and Saturday and Sunday, noon to 6 p.m.
