Electronic W-2 Forms Now Available
Employees who elected to receive their W-2 electronically can now print them using UltiPro. Follow these simple steps to find your W-2: Step 1: Log in to UltiPro Step 2: Click ‘Menu’ in the top left corner and hover over ‘Myself’ Step 3: Under ‘Pay’ select ‘W-2’ Step 4: Select ‘2019’ to view and print your W-2
Email Signature Update After receiving Magnet Recognition®, the new badge has been added to the standard Excela Health signature. The signature will still include the U.S. News & World Report badge in addition to the Magnet Recognition® badge. This update will continue to promote national recognition for the clinical expertise and high quality patient care Excela Health provides. Everyone in Excela Health is encouraged to make this change to their signature. To access the new signature go to the Marketing and Communications Intranet page on the intranet, select ‘Communications’ from the list on the left and then select ‘Communications Tools’ from the top center. Once there, click on ‘Standard Email Signature Display’ at the bottom of the page and follow the illustrated instructions to adopt the signature.

Excela Health Expands Grief Support to 'Neighborhood Kids' “Grief changes as children grow,” said Maureen Ceidro. “Because of that, our program welcomes the return of every child to our neighborhood of care.” Read more. National Survey Shows Contradictory Attitudes Toward Flu Vaccine Dr. Thaddeus Pajak said “I tell people that, every year, the flu is a pandemic. It’s not a scare tactic, it’s just that the annual number of infections meets that definition.” Read more.
Smoke Free During Work Hours Effective November 19, 2020 which is roughly 10 months from now, the policy on Excela Health Tobacco Free Campuses will be strengthened. Tobacco use and tobacco smoking alternatives such as e-cigarettes or vaping by Excela Health employees will be strictly prohibited during the employees’ shift or work hours. This update will help to promote a healthier environment for our patients, visitors and staff. Employees looking to manage the craving of tobacco during work hours or to quit a tobacco habit are encouraged to take advantage of tobacco cessation options offered by the Excela Health Well-Being Center. Support the Shop, Support the Hospital Valentine’s Day is right around the corner and with the Westmoreland Hospitality Shop you don’t have to go far to find something special for your loved ones! Gifts and treats including Wilson’s Candy, heart themed décor and more are available until February 14. The shop is also featuring a range of items from new handbags and jewelry to items for pet-lovers! All proceeds from sales are donated back to the hospital. In September, the Westmoreland Hospital main lobby received new furniture thanks to the support of the Westmoreland Hospital Auxiliary.
Coronavirus Information All frontline healthcare personnel are reminded to follow proper screening techniques. Remember to ask patients if they have traveled outside of the U.S. within 21 days and if they have been in contact with anyone who has traveled outside the country and is ill. Patients showing signs of the flu or other signs of an infection should obtain a mask for themselves and anyone accompanying them. Up-to-date information on the Novel Coronavirus can be found on the Center for Disease Control (CDC) website here.

On January 23, Mall Walkers 2020 kicked off with a presentation titled “Care Options Outside Your Home." More than 400 attendees learned about home health, private duty home care, hospice, and other services available to them.
Friday, February 28 there will be a heart fair in the Westmoreland Hospital MCC for employees. More details coming soon!
