What if You Could Eliminate the Need for Blood Thinners Our clinicians are performing minimally invasive procedure called the WATCHMAN™ in selected patients. Using small incisions they seal off the left atrial appendage and close it from circulation so clots no longer can be formed in the structure. No left atrial appendage. No risk of forming clots. No need for blood thinners. By using minimally invasive techniques, patients experience less blood loss, less postoperative pain and a faster recovery. The WATCHMAN™ procedure at Excela Health. For afib patients, it’s where just millimeters can change their lives. Talk to your cardiologist or physician to see if this procedure is right for you. To schedule an appointment, call 724-689-1355.

Meds to Beds Program “The Meds to Beds program at Westmoreland Hospital is very convenient for new moms and families! The program allows for one less thing to worry about on the way home. Now with COVID-19 it is even more useful and allows new parents to avoid going into a store on the way home from the hospital with their newborn.
