At the present time Excela Health is administering the Moderna vaccine which is only available for patients ages 18 and older. Vaccinations are currently being administered at the Excela Health Vaccine Center located in the Excela Square at Norwin plaza, in the former Galaxy Fitness location.

“Excela has performed about 39,000 telehealth visits since March 2020. Virtual visits accounted for about 30% of all appointments at the peak over the past year and now make up 10% of appointments.”

“All Pennsylvania residents will be eligible to schedule vaccine appointments beginning April 19, two weeks ahead of President Biden’s directive of May 1, state health officials said Wednesday.”

Scholarship Opportunity for Excela Health Employees The Westmoreland Hospital Auxiliary is offering a scholarship to one Excela Health employee furthering their education in a health care field.

The amount to be awarded is $2,500.

The scholarship recipient may be eligible to receive two scholarships during their educational career.
