What are the Symptoms of Monkeypox?

Symptoms develop five to 21 days after exposure (called the incubation period). Symptoms include: fever, headaches, muscle or backaches, swollen lymph nodes, chills, and exhaustion. Within one to three days after the occurrence of fever, a rash develops, typically beginning on the face and spreading across the body. In the advanced stages of the disease, the rash can be severe and become widespread. The illness typically lasts for two to four weeks.

Monkeypox is a rare disease caused by infection with the monkeypox virus. Monkeypox is part of the same family of viruses (Orthopoxvirus) that causes smallpox. Monkeypox was first identified in 1958 during two outbreaks in monkeys kept for research. The first human case of monkeypox was in 1970. Prior to the 2022 outbreak, monkeypox had been reported in people in several central and west African countries. Cases have been identified in other countries in 2022. The U.S. confirmed a case on May 18, 2022.

Creating a Strong Brand - Part Two

5 key elements

As humans, we tend to crave consistency in most, if not all aspects of our daily life. As marketers, we use this desire for consistency to create a brand. Branding a healthcare organization can include patient experiences, organizational values and the visual brand components that make the brand stand out (logo, colors, language). Consistency in branding contributes to brand recognition and can create trust and loyalty between the brand and its consumers. This is why it is important to work with the marketing team at Excela Health when starting a new project that may include fliers, video, photography and more. The marketing department protects the brand, and makes sure we are delivering a consistent message to our patients, community members and staff. of a strong, consistent brand: Logo will explore a brand’s logo! Having a logo is a branding must and one of the easiest ways to introduce brand consistency. A logo is often the first thing the audience will see and has a huge impact on brand recognition. Essentially, the logo is the face of the brand and should be used on all assets. Assets can include, print and digital marketing materials, buildings, employee uniforms, and premium items. Ideally, the sight of the brand’s logo will connect with a memory of what the company/organization does and, more importantly, how it makes us feel.

Several years ago Excela Health made updates to the logo. If you are putting a logo on a document please contact the marketing department to ensure it is the correct and most up-to-date logo.
