Unplug and Recharge

January 17, 2019

Grief Support Groups Life can feel overwhelming after the loss of a loved one. For many, it is a time of feeling alone and powerless. In a safe and supportive environment, our Bereavement Counselors invite you to share your stories with others who grieve. Excela Health offers complimentary bereavement support groups throughout our service area. There are groups specific for those who have lost a loved one to cancer, those who are further along in their grieving process, those who are starting their grieving process, and those who wish to use art and exercise as ways to cope. Support groups are listed under classes and events on www.excelahealth.org. For additional information, call Excela Health Homecare & Hospice at 724-689-1800 and ask to speak with a bereavement counselor.

New Employee Assistance Program (EAP) Provider

While ensuring patient health and safety is the top priority of Excela Health, employee health is also important. The Well-Being Center will be hosting “Unplug and Recharge”, a series of 15-minute sessions to be offered at each campus once a week during the noon lunch hour. Join them and let go of what is draining your battery and recharge with gentle stretching, relaxation techniques, meditation or breathing exercises. For more information, visit Employee Wellness/Well-Being Center on the Intranet.

“Friendly staff was able to see me right away with broken arm. I appreciated the convenient scheduling and prompt service. My family has always trusted Dr. Bisignani and his care. He is experienced and knowledgeable in his field of expertise. He is friendly, personable and makes you feel comfortable. Thank you!”

Excela Health offers an Employee Assistance Program through Washington EAP Services. The services provided offer solutions to balance your life, work and wellness.
