June 20, 2019
Unplug and Recharge with the Excela Health Well-Being Center While ensuring patient health and safety is a top priority of Excela Health, employee health is also important. The Well-Being Center hosts “Unplug and Recharge”, a series of 15-minute sessions that are offered at campuses once a week on a rotating basis. or by request. Food and Nutrition Services supervisor, Nancy Ivan, recently requested a session. “Knowing that my Food and Nutrition Service associates have many personal struggles, I felt the need to provide tools to create awareness, on multiple levels, whether it be stress reduction, coping mechanisms, and use of the employee assistance program.” Join them and let go of what is draining your battery and recharge with gentle stretching, relaxation techniques, meditation or breathing exercises. The program also includes information on the Employee Assistance Program. For more information and schedule, visit Employee Wellness/Well-Being Center on the Intranet.
Washington EAP Services released a new online seminar free to Excela Health employees. The session explores basic mindfulness principles and teaches some techniques that you can put into immediate use. To access the webinar, go to http://bit.ly/EHEAPMAY, login using the password “excela” and click on “work-life” in the upper right Corner.
