05 Why Manchester?

“Manchester is an amazing city and you can get to beautiful countryside really easily .“ Daniele from Brazil

Why Manchester? Manchester is one of the biggest and most cosmopolitan cities in the UK. It’s also one of the friendliest and most accessible; students soon get to know their way around and start to feel at home. The city has a lively student population, two big football clubs and lots of cultural sites. With galleries, theatres and museums, excellent sports facilities and some huge shopping centres, there is always something to see or do. The cost of living in Manchester is less expensive than in London and if you want to visit other areas of the UK, you will find that Manchester is very well connected. London is just two hours away on the train, with tickets for as little as £15. We’re also close to the Lake District National Park and historic cities like Liverpool, Chester and York.
