Fundraising

....................................................................................................................................

Age UK Harrow has been promoting the well being of older people in the Borough of Harrow for over 35 years and is a member of the Age UK Federation but is completely independent with its own charity number and its board of trustees elected locally. Age UK Harrow receives no direct funding from any national body. This does mean that we have to work very hard to raise funds for all our services (and with all the cutbacks in service availability for older people) and it has become even more vital for the older residents on the borough to have our services available to them. Donations We rely heavily on the support of local people and businesses; they support our work in a variety of ways. Please contact us if you are able to support Age UK Harrow in any way. You can support the work of Age UK Harrow by becoming a member or by donating your time or money. If you would like to make a donation to Age UK Harrow, please consider signing a Gift Aid certificate. If you are a tax payer Charitable causes can reclaim tax already paid on donations made under the Gift Aid Scheme. The giver must have paid a tax amount that at least equals the tax being reclaimed on the donation. UK tax paid on income, capital gains and savings all qualify. Your donation will be even more valuable to us.

Fundraising If you are thinking of running a marathon or similar sponsored event or just holding a coffee morning we would be pleased to support you. Please contact us before doing so. Our Mission Age UK Harrow exists to promote the well being of all older people in the London Borough of Harrow and to help make life a fulfilling and enjoyable experience. From our mission comes our vision of an organisation with increased capacity, in collaboration with other local organisations, to meet the needs of Harrow’s culturally diverse older population.
