Whether it is an intimate gathering you are looking for, a celebration on a larger scale or an outdoor wedding in our secret garden we are the perfect location for your wedding. With four reception rooms to choose from, 56 bedrooms and a civil ceremony licence your special day can be held in one stunning location with exceptionally photogenic grounds to capture those treasured moments. When it comes to your wedding menus, we have a wide selection to choose from. Using locally sourced food wherever possible our chef will with work with you to select the perfect menus for your celebration, whether it is a traditional 3 course meal, a BBQ or special themed menu. Whatever your dream wedding comprises of our wedding coordinators will assist you from the planning stages of your wedding right through to the big day. So whatever you have in mind be it a traditional, formal, intimate or themed occasion your wedding coordinators will ensure everything runs smoothly. Hall Garth Hotel understands that every ceremony is as unique as the couple getting
married. It is for this reason we are able to offer beautiful intimate outdoor ceremonies in our walled secret garden. For those not daring enough to trust the British weather we have a variety of licensed function rooms to choose from. The hotel is licenced to hold civil ceremony’s for up to 200 guests and is also an approved Qwest venue, which means that you know we are a reliable and professional wedding venue. Please note the bride and groom are required to book the registrar directly with Darlington registry office to organise the official civil arrangements for the ceremony. Our two main wedding suites are located on the ground floor and are accessible directly from the car park via a lovely wide, light and air corridor.
Brafferton & Summerson Suites The largest of our rooms is the Brafferton suite which offers great flexibility, being able to sub-divide into smaller rooms where necessary. With its charming woodland views and warm, welcoming interior and dĂŠcor it is perfect for any wedding. The Summerson Suite is located in the extension of the hotel and has panoramic views and wide doors opening onto the front lawns which provide the perfect setting for welcome drinks and CanapĂŠs. Both suites have their own private bars and dance floors and lend themselves to most weddings no matter what the size. If you wish for a more intimate affair the light and airy Orangery with its panoramic views of the stunning grounds is the perfect setting for smaller weddings. Included in all our wedding packages is a complimentary room for the bride and groom for the night of the wedding. Any additional nights can be reserved at a discounted cost. Upon booking the hotel will automatically reserve a number of bedrooms for wedding guests who will receive a discount of our best available rate. The hotel has a number of feature bedrooms which include four poster beds, original fireplaces, excellent views or separate lounge areas amongst others which are perfect for wedding celebrations. We also have a number of other upgraded rooms available and a limited number of family bedrooms to accommodate travelling guests.

Packages When you book your wedding at the Hall Garth Hotel, we like to include those special little touches which will enhance your day. We include in our wedding packages: • Wedding coordinator • Red carpet for your arrival • Wedding host for the day • White table linen and napkins • Use of a cake stand • Personalised menu cards for each table • Specialised menus can be arranged for children and guests with special dietary requirements • Complimentary wedding night accommodation for the bride and groom • Reduced accommodation rates for your guests. Oozing with character and individuality there is so much to enjoy at Hall Garth Hotel.
Nestled in 70 acres of parkland, this beautiful hotel boasts a ‘Secret Garden’ and a medieval deer hut amongst its delights. A nine hole par 72 challenging golf course surrounds the hotel. Guests can indulge themselves in leisure facilities which include a sauna, steam room, indoor pool, Jacuzzi and gymnasium. As well as the on site beauty rooms which offer treatments daily. Oswald’s restaurant is at the heart of the hotel and serves an exceptional À la carte menu. In contrast the Stables serves a café menu during the day offering a more relaxed dining option. All menus are sourced using local produce and offer value for money. A date can be provisionally held at the hotel for 14 days, during this time we advise you to check and book your ceremony with either the church or registrar. After this time a nonrefundable deposit is required. Your wedding coordinator will provide you with a contract and terms and conditions which will need signing and returning to confirm your booking.

A copy of the terms and conditions is also included in the back of this wedding brochure. Payments plans can be arranged but 50% of the wedding balance must be paid at least 4 months prior to the wedding with the final balance being settled no later than 4 weeks prior to the wedding date. A series of further visits will be arranged in the months leading up to your wedding so we can work with you to make your wedding day the most memorable!
