Our Venue
Park House is housed in a stunning Gothic style mansion house located in the heart of Cardiff ’s old district. The property was built in 1874 by the wealthy Marquess of Bute, who commissioned the first of the great docks, which transformed Cardiff from a sleepy town into a modern, prosperous city. He commissioned the house for his Chief Engineer, John McConnochie, who later became Mayor of Cardiff. It was intended to be a house of lavish entertainment and we certainly think that he would have approved of its current use. For those couples who don’t want ‘the full works’ we specialise in numbers from 10 to 40. Our dedicated private dining room is situated in the old cellars of Park House and is full of atmosphere and style. It has its own separate entrance with a bar and dedicated amenities. In summer months there is also the option of using the attached courtyard.
Drinks Reception
Our two wine bars, Pinot and Yalumba are home to our award winning wine list and its here your drink experience begins. Welcome your guests to a glass of champagne, cocktail or a glass of your favourite wine, with 1600 wines we are confident you will find something you love! Our Sommelier is on hand to help throughout the process should you need it.
The Wedding Breakfast
Enjoy your first meal as a married couple in our largest and grandest room, The Burges Restaurant. This stunning room has beautiful Victorian windows overlooking the park, wood paneling, dramatic high ceilings and direct access to Yaluma bar. Its here you will enjoy the menu you have chosen that has been cooked by our AA awarded Head Chef and his team. The minimum seated 45.
Evening Reception
Party the evening away in The Burges restaurant, a dance floor is provided.
Small Weddings
This room is ideal for smaller more Intimate numbers, from 10 up to 40 guests this room provides a private setting for you and your guests to enjoy award winning food and wine while celebrating your special day. This room has its own bar and waiting staff, and can be enjoyed into the early hours for a relaxed evening party.
