Whitstable Castle & Gardens Firstly, congratulations from all of the team on your recent engagement and thank you for considering Whitstable Castle as a venue for your special day. Whitstable Castle is a stunning and unique venue set in 3 acres of beautiful landscaped gardens with beautiful lawns, a fabulous fountain, Victorian style gazebo for outdoor ceremonies, reception rooms, sea views and a roof terrace, all just 200m from Ta nkerton Beach and a few minutes walk from the historic harbour.
We are proud to be able to offer a full wedding package, bespoke packages, discounted winter package or a ceremony only package for you to look at and decide which one fits your personal requirements. We also understand how hard it can be to make those i mportant decisions for your special day, so we are here to give you as much help as you need. We are a full service venue, and can cater for just a wedding ceremony, wedding breakfasts or a full reception here at the castle. We can accommodate lovely intimate weddings for a minimum of 10 guests or up to 60 guests for ceremonies.

Beautiful lawns, fabulous fountain, reception rooms, sea views and roof terrace for drinks and photographs. Formal seating for up to 52 guests for the wedding breakfast in our beautiful oak panelled Mallandain Room complete with chandeliers and open fireplace, makes this a fabulous intimate. Marquees in the Rose Garden or sun terrace where you can truly enjoy our stunning gardens up to 90 guests Experienced staff members who have been working on wedding managing over many years will make sure that you and your guests will have a truly remarkable and lovely day in this special setting.
Ceremonies
We have three different ceremony rooms to choose from plus our beautiful Victorian style Gazebo for outdoor ceremonies The Mallandain Room is a beautiful Regency style room with oak panelling, feature open fireplace and fabulous crystal chandeliers. Accommodates up to 60 guests for ceremonies and 52 for a formal wedding breakfast. The Miles Room is a small hexagonal room which is full of character and charm, perfect for a more intimate ceremony for 10-20 guests. The Orangery overlooking our beautiful landscaped gardens is available to hire for twilight weddings.
Outdoor Ceremonies can be held under our Victorian style gazebo with guests seated on the adjacent lawn (weather permitting). On your wedding day the groom will have an interview in the Mallandain Room approximately 30 minutes before the service begins. The bride will arrive approximately 15 minutes prior to the service and then be taken to Miles Room for her interview to avoid being seen by guests. After the interview the bride will be led down the staircase and into the Pearson’s Room before entering the Mallandain Room for the commencement of the ceremony. We will book your wedding ceremony with the Registrar on your behalf but please bear in mind that the Registrar’s Fee is an additional cost.
Facilities Cuisine
Whitstable Castle’s indoor spaces have been fully redecorated and refu bished in their original period decoration. The venue has four different rooms which are licensed for civil weddings - each room has its own character and charm and accommodate 10-20 guests in the smaller intimate rooms, up to 60 in our largest room for ce emonies.

Capacity
Our largest room, the Mallandain, is licensed for civil weddings/partnerships and will seat up to 65 people for the ceremony, and up to 50 people for a formal sit-down meal. More guests can be accommodated by using a marquee in the castle gardens.
