mobile application that would revolutionize cloud management service, along with integrate a social media sharing platform for users.
Project Description Exclaim Media has outlined and designed much of the user interface for the mobile application envisioned for this project, but with our experience, we realize this is an on-going process and the design will evolve. Currently users experiencing storage overflow with their smartphones and tablet computers setup accounts with service providers such as Dropbox, Box, or Google Drive to store their media that they no longer have the capacity to store. When a user sets up multiple cloud accounts with multiple service providers, managing their content can become tedious and overwhelming. Our mobile application solves this issue for users. Appropriately named “brolly” (A colloquial term for “umbrella” primarily used by the British – Rhyming with “dolly”),
this mobile app would bridge the divide users currently experience when trying to manage more
than one account. Not only solving the storage issue, brolly would integrate a social sharing platform, allowing users to share their content via the most popular social media apps currently used by billions worldwide (Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, Flickr, etc.). Envision yourself browsing content through one of the cloud service providers that you have uploaded content to, then wanting to share a photo via one or many social media apps. You would simply select which of these accounts you would like to share that content, and browse right from brolly which accounts you posted it to (figure 1.1 - On page 5), view comments and “likes”, all while possessing the ability to edit that content. Users would also have the ability to upgrade their cloud accounts and purchase more storage from the selected providers. No longer would a user have to open multiple apps to share content or manage all their cloud content… Problem solved!

Select which cloud account to manage by touching the icon to the left of your storage info in the blue header. All accounts set-up will be listed under this drop-down. Add other accounts, or sign up for other providers, simply by selecting the “+ sign at the bottom of this menu. 5
The Current Market Obviously the mobile market is huge! Both the Android Market and the Apple App Store perform billions of dollars in transactions every year. Currently there is no app like “brolly” available through either provider, but we believe there is a growing need for this kind of service. If it’s not Exclaim Media developing this application, someone else will do so soon! Currently 50% of all cloud service is accessed by users in the United States and if current market trends continue, shares are expected to reach $12.2 billion in 2016, up from $5.6 billion in 2012 (“Cloud Computing Growth” - Awesome Cloud). If dropbox is any indication of cloud storage popularity, they now have over 175

The Opportunity Two different versions of the application will be developed. The first version will be completely free for users and will generate revenue through advertisements (“5 Ways Free Apps Make Money” by Carter Thomas at BlueCloudSolutions.com).
The second version will be sold for $1.99 on both markets and will be fully
functional without any advertisements
(“How Free Apps Can Make More Money Than Paid Apps” by John
Manoogian III on TechCrunch.com, Tuesday, July 9th, 2013).
Our proposal is to share 30% of the profits with
investors from either of the two versions of the app. Exclaim Media is seeking funding to create the “brolly” application and have calculated that an investment of $36,800.00 would get both versions developed and deployed on each market within four to six months. We have done our research and taken or time to think through functionality only to ask ourselves, “would you use this app on your device?”. Our immediate response is, “Absolutely!” and we believe other users would respond the same way!
