Brittany welcomes the golfer with a sumptuous menu of courses and they’re all an easy drive from the arrival ports of St Malo and Roscoff.

Along the northern coast there’s a choice of great golf, highlights being the links at Dinard and the spectacular holes at Val André. Inland, choose from the stylish courses at Château des Ormes and Golf de St Malo, or the pretty parkland courses nearer to Rennes.

You’ll find a choice of links courses along Normandy’s west coast at Granville and Coutainville, whilst Santander the Channel coast is steeped in the historical connections of Bayeux and D-Day. OmahaBilbao Beach Golf Club has two courses next to the eponymous landing beach and nearer to Caen there’s a choice of golf at Golf de Garcelles, Houlgate and Cabourg.

Just over the border from Brittany and Normandy is the Loire and Atlantic Loire Valley where you’ll find some super courses which are a surprisingly easy drive from our Channel ports. Highlights include the championship courses at La Baule, the magical castle and lake at La Bretesche, the mix of links and forest at St Jean de Monts, or the string of seaside and parkland courses near the Vendee coast. Further up the Loire Valley you’ll find a range of golfing delights including the hidden gem at Sable Solesmes, or the course adjacent to the race track at Le Mans.
