For a di erent sort of shopping experience and a clear departure from the mall scene, Pepper Place is your destination. Pepper Place, an old Dr. Pepper syrup plant, houses an eclectic mix of home furnishing shops, art galleries and architectural stores. During the spring and summer months, tourists and residents flock to the Pepper Place Market, an outdoor farmers market with chef demonstrations every Saturday. Alongside the tomatoes, squash and peaches, shoppers find hand-crafted clothing, yard ornaments, honey, organic soaps, goat cheese and scones. This set of outlet stores is situated in the picturesque landscape of the Cahaba River Valley.
