Billion Pound CO2 Challenge

Objective To reduce 1 billion Lbs. of CO 2 annually across businesses supply chain.

Mission To collaborate with organizations to divert one billion lbs. of CO 2 within a forum to identify and track meaningful reductions in carbon intensity across the supply chain.

About According to the Carbon Disclosure Project (GDP), supply chains are accountable for up to four times the greenhouse gas emissions of a company’s direct operations.

INFLATION The purchasing power of the Canadian Dollar is about to be eroded as inflationary pressures from fiscal stimulus works its way through the economy. The rise of Bitcoin as a hedge against inflation is fundamentally flawed due to the large carbon footprint associated with maintaining the system. Eco-Bit Tokens, the new hedge against inflation is based on carbon intensity reductions across the “Supply Chain”.

INTRODUCING

Each Eco-Bit token represents 1lb. of carbon intensity reduction across the “Supply Chain”.

Incentivizing low carbon behavior

“Supply Chain” According to the Carbon Disclosure Project (GDP) supply chains are accountable for up to 4X the GHG gas emissions of a company’s direct operations.

Technologies submitted for inclusion on “THE LEDGER” are verified by a consortium of Post Secondary Institutions. Once verified the technology is issued an ID# which will be recorded with each carbon intensity reduction entry on “THE LEDGER”. ❑ “Supply Chain” baseline established for existing carbon intensity. ❑ New technology provides meaningful carbon intensity reduction across the “Supply Chain”. ❑ Embodied carbon intensity of new technology has been verified. ❑ Operational carbon intensity of new technology has been verified. ❑ Protocol for quantification of carbon intensity reduction is clearly established.

FEE: Review fee is paid directly to the Post Secondary Institution.

When validated technology is adopted within the “Supply Chain” a Project is registered. Annual carbon intensity reduction per project is recorded on “THE LEDGER”.

Growing food where it is served saves carbon.

Carbon intensity reduction Projects are submitted for validation. Once validated a request to add new entry to “THE LEDGER” is sent for approval by the “NETWORK”. Before approval for entry on “THE LEDGER” the integrity must be confirmed. The “NETWORK” performs this task by verifying the last hash-encryption has not changed. Once the integrity is confirmed the “NETWORK” confirms the new entry and the “THE LEDGER” is updated with new hash identifier. For added security the “NETWORK” uses secure sign-in and SMS password verification.

THE NETWORK THE NETWORK: decentralized network of computers that validate the integrity of all entries to “THE LEDGER”.

Monetizing “THE LEDGER” 1 Eco-Bit represents 1 pound of reduced CO2 across the “Supply Chain”. Example: Project on “THE LEDGER” produces 100,000 lbs. of reduced carbon intensity across the “Supply Chain”. The Treasury receives 43,000 Eco-Bit tokens, The Project receives 43,000 EcoBit tokens and the Validator receives 14,000 Eco-Bit tokens

“THE LEDGER” is monetized at the end of each month. All projects entered on “THE LEDGER” during the month are monetized. Allocation formula: The Treasury .43 Eco-Bits The Project .43 Eco-Bits. Validator The Validator .14 Eco-Bits.

LIQUIDITY The value of Eco-Bits is tied to the Canadian Governments carbon-tax. At the current carbon price of $50 metric tonne ($.023 lb.) each Eco-Bit has a potential value of $.023. As the carbon tax increases to $170 metric tonne the potential value increases to $.077 per Eco-Bit.

Eco-Bit Tokens are tied to the Canadian Government price for carbon. The current (2021) price is $50 metric tonne ($.023 lb.). By 2030 the price will rise to $170 metric tonne ($.077 / lb.). Holding Eco-Bit Tokens is your hedge against future inflation.
