Conventional energy sources are normally associated with undesirable effluents that if not managed well, can have detrimental impact on our planet earth including global climate change. Therefore, environmental compliance plans should always be an integral part of any national development plan. The ultimate objective of energy management systems is to ensure the availability of the needed energy sources for fueling the present without compromising the ability of the future generation to meet their energy needs.
