CONCENTRATION

URBAN DESIGN AND LANDSCAPE URBANISM. I believe that landscape architects should take the lead in urban spatial design. We must realize that the best way to organize city is to consider city as a whole landscape, rather than the sum of single buildings. Spatial constructions in urban environments should no longer be attached to intractable functions or intent on isolation, but instead integrate into the fabric of the city. Spatial fragmentation that deteriorates social injustice should be prevented, including the unprecedented gentrification taking place in many cities.
