466973 info@forgansstandrews.co.uk until: 1 Dec 2013 St Andrews Food & Drink Festival 2013 Around St Andrews The second annual St Andrews Food & Drink Festival will take place in November at a host of venues around the town. This has been confirmed by the St Andrews Partnership following the success of the first Festival, which was held in the period around St Andrew’s Day in 2012.

The Festival will again be organised by Viv Collie, who is also a director of the Fife Food Network’s “Food from Fife” initiative and the co-ordinator of the extensive food marquee at the Dundee Flower and Food Festival. She will be working with Marie-Clare James, who also has very wide experience in the Scottish food industry and event organisation, and is the marketing manager for the Federation of Chefs Scotland.

Patrick Laughlin from the Partnership said that there had already been considerable interest from local businesses, and the 2013 Festival would be larger than its 2012 predecessor: “This year, the Festival will run throughout the month of November.

There will be events held on each of the weekends of the month, building up to a concentrated flurry of activities over St Andrew’s Day weekend - Friday 29th November - Sunday 1st December.

“We are currently finalising details of two large-scale events for that weekend which aim to partially fill the gap left by the unfortunate demise of the St Andrews Festival.
