Welcome to the ultimate showdown of show jumping, the spectacular GC Prague Playoffs. Throughout the 2021 season the world’s best athletes and teams have been in pursuit for a ticket to this phenomenal four day event, which offers up an unprecedented millions of euros in prize money.

The phenomenal four day event saw Ben Maher win the Longines Global Champions Tour Super Grand Prix and Shanghai Swans triumph in the GCL Super Cup. This year 16 teams head to Prague for the GCL Super Cup with the quarter finals kicking off on Thursday 18 November.

Now in its third year the GC Prague Playoffs event has been hailed as a ‘milestone’ in the sport by multi-Olympian Ludger Beerbaum. While Olivier Philippaerts said: “This show is something we have not seen this in our sport before and it has brought it to a different level.”

Together with Title Partner and Official Timekeeper Longines, the Tour has continued to grow and innovate over its 15 year history, delivering world class show jumping in breathtaking destinations around the globe. The GCL added a thrilling new dimension to the sport in 2016 with top riders from different countries teaming up for the first time in top level competition.

On Saturday 20 November 15 of the world’s top riders will fight for victory in the ultimate showdown in show jumping in the Longines Global Champions Tour Super Grand Prix, offering 1.25 million euros in prize money. The challengers are a formidable line up of the world’s best in show jumping but there can only be one winner on Saturday night as they compete for top honours in the hotly-contested competition. The GC Playoffs will see a roller-coaster of eliminations, upsets and glory as teams battle through the Quarter Final, Semi-Final and Final stages of the GCL Super Cup. Sixteen teams will take centre stage in Prague, with the top four teams of the 2021 season, Valkenswaard United, Shanghai Swans, Paris Panthers and London Knights automatically fast-tracked directly to the Semi Finals, promising an edgeof-the-seat Finale on Sunday.

The GC Playoffs is hosted by the magical Czech capital Prague, one of the world’s most beautiful cities and a UNESCO World Heritage site, promising unforgettable excitement for equestrian fans worldwide. Prague, known as “the City of a hundred spires”, will stage the GC Playoffs over four days at the O2 arena with top-level sport and great entertainment for spectators. International visitors can enjoy the contrast of Prague’s historic Baroque architecture and the famous Castle and the cool modern neighbourhoods and art and design zones.

Team tactics and strategic changes to riders and horses during the 2021 GCL competitions have already added fresh energy to the sport. The easy-to-follow GC Playoffs will again produce more entertaining stats and graphics for fans with expert commentary for digital viewers and new technical innovations to enhance the fan experience.

Kick off is at 8pm CET Thursday 18 November and equestrian fans around the world will be able to watch live on GC TV and enjoy a series of stunning opening ceremonies and entertainment shows in the indoor arena in the Czech Republic’s beautiful capital city.

Letošní třetí ročník GC Prague Playoffs označil mnohonásobný olympionik Ludger Beerbaum za „milník“ v parkurovém sportu. Olivier Philippaerts řekl: „Tato show je něco, co jsme v našem sportu ještě neviděli a parkurové skákání to posunulo na jinou úroveň.»

Společně s titulárním partnerem a oficiální časomírou Longines se Tour během své 15leté historie rozrůstala a inovovala. Nyní přináší show parkurového skákání světové třídy v úchvatných destinacích po celém světě. GCL přidalo v roce 2016 tomuto sportu vzrušující nový rozměr, když se špičkoví jezdci z různých zemí spojili poprvé v soutěži nejvyšší úrovně.

V sobotu 20. listopadu budou nejlepší světoví jezdci bojovat o vítězství v konečném zúčtování Longines Global Champions Tour Super Grand Prix, které nabídne odměnu 1,25 milionu eur. Sestavu vyzyvatelů tvoří impozantní řada nejlepších světových hvězd parkurového skákání, nejvyššího vyznamenání se ale v sobotu večer dostane pouze jedinému z nich. Během čtvrtfinálových, semifinálových a finálových fází GCL Super Cupu zažijí soupeřící týmy na GC Playoffs kolotoč vyřazování, zklamání a slávy. Na kolbišti se v Praze představí šestnáct týmů, v čele s čtveřicí nejlepších ekip sezóny 2021, Valkenswaard United, Shanghai Swans, Paris Panthers a London Knights, které se automaticky kvalifikovaly přímo do semifinále. Samotné nedělní finále tak slibuje podívanou nejvyšší kvality.

GC Playoffs hostí kouzelné české hlavní město Praha, jedno z nejkrásnějších měst světa zařazené na seznam světového dědictví UNESCO, jež skýtá fanouškům jezdectví z celého světa nezapomenutelné zážitky. Praha, známá jako „stověžaté město“, nabídne v O2 areně během čtyř dnů GC Playoffs špičkový sport a skvělou zábavu pro diváky.
