About Us
Sierra y Selva Exportadora (Exporting Highland and Rainforest) is a government Entity of the Ministry of Agriculture and Irrigation (MINAGRI), whose purpose is to promote access to markets for small and medium-sized organized agricultural producers in our Peruvian highlands and rainforest in a competitive and sustainable manner. We organize the activities and resources of the public and/or private sector aimed at promoting and diversifying the small economy of rural areas in the Peruvian highlands and rainforest.
Sweet Passion fruit Passiflora ligularis
This excellent fruit is grown mainly in Peru and other South American countries. It is regarded as an excellent source of minerals, fiber and proteins. Furthermore, it contains antioxidants and reduces cardiovascular risk.
Pomegranate Punica granatum
Pomegranate is a fruit that has multiple medicinal benefits, such as reducing the risk of heart attacks, lowering cholesterol, among others.
Tahiti Lime Citrus latifolia
It is a green and seedless fruit with an acidity grade of 4 to 4.5. It is grown in the Peruvian coast and rainforest.
Hass Avocado Persea americana
This fruit is consumed plain due to its high vitamin content. It also contains several properties, such as stimulating the appetite, toning the nerves and the skin and regulating cholesterol levels.
Banana Musa cavendishii
This fruit has a high carbohydrate and potassium content as well as mineral salts. Most of the bananas exported by Peru are organic.
Cherimoya Annona cherimola
Cherimoya is a tropical fruit that is consumed by its white, sweet and very aromatic pulp, which is rich in fiber, vitamin B and potassium.
Exotic Fruits
Camu-camu (Myrciaria dubia), aguaje (Mauritia flexuosa), asaĂ (Euterpe oleracea) and ungurahui (Oenocarpus bataua var. bataua), are considered super-foods from the Peruvian Amazon. These products grow wild in our forests and have a large amount of Vitamin A, Vitamin C and antioxidants.
