offee is the main agricultural product for export of Peru. In 2018, Peru produced a total of 260,000 tons of coffee; and while 73% of

the aforementioned amount represented regular types of coffee, a 27% corresponded to organic, sustainable and special coffee varieties. The worker cooperatives and associations involved have received international certifications that validates them as sustainable and friendly-to-theenvironment companies that guarantee the safety of their products as well as the common welfare of the agricultural producers.
