sized worker cooperatives and associations of agricultural producers within the “Direct Trade” framework in order for quality, safety, and traceability to be guaranteed.

offee is the main agricultural product for export of Peru. In 2018, Peru produced a total of 260,000 tons of coffee; and while 73% of
the aforementioned amount represented regular types of coffee, a 27% corresponded to organic, sustainable and special coffee varieties. The worker cooperatives and associations involved have received international certifications that validates them as sustainable and friendly-to-theenvironment companies that guarantee the safety of their products as well as the common welfare of the agricultural producers.
