NATURAL HAIR STYLES GOING ALL NATURAL
SHAMPOOING
The decision to “go natural” is a big one. But natural hair requires special attention to keep it soft, shiny and lustrous. Two strand twist curls are one of the styling options of natural hair.
We suggest you wash your hair once a week using the proper shampoo. Be sure to select a shampoo and conditioner that is conductive to the texture of your hair. It should provide additional moisturizers as well as help you to maintain a proper PH values. Avoid shampoos containing lauryl sulfate as they can strip hair of its natural oils, causing it to become dry and brittle.
To people of color, the term “natural hair” refers to hair that is free from chemical relaxers and other harsh styling practices. Increasingly, people are choosing to give up processed hairstyling in favor of returning to their “roots”. A decision most often made to suit personal convictions- usually spiritual or political in nature, but sometimes as the means by which to celebrate their heritage. While sporting your new style, it is important to take care of it by using a balanced hair care regimen to keep it healthy and strong.
Redz Salon Model /Stylist Brandy Photographer Chris Kyger
Additionally, we recommend that you wash your hair with a clarifying shampoo every four to six weeks. Clarifying shampoos help to remove buildup from hair products such as gels, pomades, oils and hair sprays. You can have a lovely “all natural” experience, if you are willing to devote the time necessary to receive the best possible outcome.

8 Steps in applying makeup
Understand that a natural look is
one that uses colors that are right 1. Prep your eyes with concealer, for your skin tone. How much it can be used to cover up underyou use, and where, depends on eye circles or just bluish discolorayour personal style. Make sure tion under you inner eye. Start at your concealer is yellow in tone the inner corner where skin tends since it mutes imperfections with to be darkest, then under the pupil out adding color, “TRUE BEAUTY IS and the third on the giving your skin outer edge. Pat, never SKIN DEEP” a natural look. Apply foundation that matches your skin tone. The right foundation will seem to disappear on your face. If you are AfricanAmerican, it’s a good idea to have light, medium and dark shades of your foundation to allow for different gradations of color for different parts of the face. Apply eye makeup in earthy tones beige, brown, gold,, or plum for shadows and charcoal gray or brown for liner and mascara. Skip liner or shadow entirely if you want to keep makeup light. Choose a blush color that is close to the color of your cheeks after you’ve exercised.
Rub with your ring finger ( this finger tends to have the softest pad) until it disappears. 2. Apply eye base to your lid, eye base is the secret to keeping our shadow in place for hours without properly priming your lid first, your eye shadow will likely end up a greasy line in your crease. 3. Apply eye shadow, it’s great to use a three-toned shadow palette and build from lids to brow. Allowing them to blend into each other like a rainbow is gorgeous. Start with a light color that almost matches your lid. Sweep the color across the lid and up to your brow bone. Follow with a medium color across your lid only. Build on with a darker color in the crease. Blend the edge of colors well. 5. Brighten your eyes with a highlighter. This step involves only the inside part of the eye. Putting a bit of your lightest eye shadow in the inner corner of your eye will brighten it significantly ( this is the makeup artist’s secret and I use this trick all the time). Use a small pointy brush to apply the shadow Blend with small blending brush. This totally makes the eye pop.
6. Follow with eyeliner liquid or pencil. Line eyes as close to the upper lashes as possible from inner corner to the outer corner. Follow liner on bottom eyes, but only line from the middle of the eye, then from the tear duct to the middle apply a light color there, then smudge the bottom line. 7. Highlight your brow. Take the same light eye shadow and dab it on your brow bone, concentrating on your mid-brow outward. Blend with your small blending brush 8. Curl lashes, An eyelash curler will make even long lashes look more gorgeous. For added effect, you can apply strip or individual lashes. Then apply mascara, place the wand of your mascara brush at the bottom of lashes and wiggle back and forth. Follow with another few sweeps of the wand.
