16 out of 19 Exposure Events were FREE Free events included Exhibition Tours, Artist Talks, Discussion Panel, Portfolio Walk and more! Our free event program provided professional development opportunities and places to connect to local photography and creative communities. Exposure hosted 2 Instagram Live Exhibition Tours to allow access to our program online for those unable to visit our exhibitions physically.

69% of event attendees at the Exposure Exhibition Tour and Magenta Exhibition Opening Party stated that they had visited one exhibition in the past 12 months (46%) or 6 months (23%) .

92% of attendees at the Exposure Exhibition Tour and Magenta Exhibition Opening Party stated that the event was the first Exposure event they had ever attended (46%) or the first Exposure event that they had attended this year (46%) .

15 Portfolio Walk Participants 57% of participants stated that they had never participated in a professional practice event prior to the Exposure Portfolio Walk. Feedback forms stated that participants were ‘looking for more professional practice opportunities’ and ‘have been trying to participate in professional practice events in the past’.

73% of Portfolio Walk participants stated that they ‘feel more connected to Calgary’s photo/art scenes and creative communities’ and 60% of participants stated that they had ‘made new connections’. 93% of Portfolio Review participants stated that they received ‘great feedback that advanced their thinking about their practice’ and 50% received ‘great advice about how to gain exposure and opportunities within the arts’. 70% of attendees at the Ask Me Anything Panel (Social Media & Business Tools that work for Creatives) stated that they ‘gained valuable knowledge that will better inform their professional practice’.
