Salary scale €23,180-€42,084. Point on scale determined by HR Dept in Houses of the Oireachtas.
I opted for a staff member and publicly advertised the job. 119 applications received. 7 interviewed by myself and one other. Successful applicant had no prior relationship with me.
In case of Senators who are members of a party the amount is €46,766 for first five Senators and then €23,383 for each Senator thereafter. This is paid to their party leader.
