The call for workshop proposals for the ECPR Joint Sessions 2023 (25 – 28 April in Toulouse) is out now and the deadline is October 18, 2022. Standing Groups or Research Networks may endorse only one workshop each and these are treated preferentially by the ECPR. If you have a proposal that might be interesting to the Extremism & Democracy Standing Group, please send it to us via extremismanddemocracy@gmail.com by October 7, 2022.

In recent years, the threat from antidemocratic movements, ideologies, and politics around the globe has gained increased attention from scholars and researchers. Prominent fields of research addressing these challenges include far-right, radicalization, and extremism studies—yet these threats to democracy and justice also stem from the political center and from groups and individuals that appear on the left.
The Institute for Research on Male Supremacism (IRMS) will host an interdis-
ciplinary Conference on Supremacism and Authoritarianism, held virtually from December 5th - 7th, as a space for research that addresses the span of threats to democracy. We encourage paper proposals from varied fields including right-wing and farright studies, radicalization and extremism studies, gender and sexuality studies, race and ethnicity studies, and social movement studies. Interested presenters can
submit working paper and full panel proposals in the form of 500-word ab-
stracts due by October 3rd. Submissions can be made via this Google Form. Please direct any questions to contact@theirms.org.
