Social projects in local community • The Bandera family also prides itself on undertaking social projects within the local community in which it developed its industry • In 1989, Luigi Bandera, an enthusiastic art collector, with the patronage of Busto Arsizio City Council, sponsored the foundation of the “Fondazione Bandera per l’Arte”, an art gallery, museum and interactive school for the promotion of local cultural activities and arts in general • Housed in one of the company’s prestigious buildings, the gallery is primarily dedicated to exhibitions of paintings and sculptures by international celebrated artists, and enjoys nationwide recognition for its multicultural activities • Bandera annually sponsors the BAFF (Busto Arsizio Film Festival organisation) and its projects within the film industry

• Today’s large industrial complex was born of a man who passionaly built his first machine with his own hands. This craftsman’s spirit has lived on through the years and is reflected in the creative innovation of the actual projects • One characteristic of Bandera is that all the main mechanical parts are entirely designed and manufactured inside the Group. More particularly, we produce our own extruder screws, barrels and die-heads. Also the downstream equipment, with a few exceptions, is designed and built in-house

Plans for a new R&D and wet test trials facility

Design and manufacturing in house • Precise machining of complex and often large-size pieces of machinery • Manufacturing large-bore, long extruder barrels • A section of the technical department is entirely devoted to designing and manufacturing dies, screws and barrels • Besides embodying advanced technology, they are often designed on specific request of the thermoplastic material to be processed • In-house manufacturing facility for these parts ensures perfect quality as well as the prompt supply of spares, including those for non-standard or machines which are no longer manufactured

Complete extrusion lines for blown film • Bandera supplies complete extrusion lines for the production of mono-and multilayer film for technical packaging in 3, 5, 7 and 9 layers (food and medical-pharmaceutical sectors), agricultural film (high output, multilayer, width over 16m, specific dies of diameter over 2600 mm) and high thickness film for geomembranes used in civil and industrial waterproofing systems • Bandera also supplies innovative know-how and technologies applied for the most up-to-date thermoplastics materials transformation for the production of industrial sacks, shoppers and various bags, as well as of shrink film (cover pallets and stretch caps)

Complete extrusion lines for blown film • Bandera’s production lines are fitted with automatic control systems to ensure the final product quality (loss-in-weight gravimetric dosing of raw material, in-line thickness control, automatic winding unit with a driven winding reel, as well as of a combined type), supervision unit and computerized line management. Simple to learn and easy to use.

Complete extrusion lines for foil and sheets • Bandera designs and manufactures complete extrusion lines for the production of mono and multi layer foils mainly for food packaging industry and for the production of high thickness sheets for the industrial thermoforming application for the following applications: – Winding foils of 120 microns with thickness up to 2 mm in HIPS, PP, CRPS, A/CPET and PETG (both compact and expanded materials), PLA, for application in the outand-in-line rigid thermoformed food packaging sector – Thin sheets in PP and PET (generally embossed) for the paper industry; medium thickness sheets in PS and ABS/ABS-PMMA for the sector of electric household appliances production – Technical sheets in HDPE, PP, HMWPE, PC mixed ABS and in mixed materials (including thermoplastic resins and inhomogeneous industrial waste) for the sector of automobile components and deep thermoforming – Flexible sheets for waterproofing systems (geomembrane multilayer in PP/PE) also with inner reinforcement in fiber or fabric, etc. Group Profile 1. 26
Complete extrusion lines for foil and sheets • Bandera is a world leader in supplying the technology for the direct dryerless extrusion of PET SHEETS using a patented extrusion system with a co-rotating twin screw extruder equipped with an intense venting system • Moreover, Bandera has developed innovative technology for the following processes: – In line mass adding of master batches, fillers and reacting agents to direct noble the sheet during extrusion process (co-rotating twin screw extruders combined with loss in weight dosing units) – High speed multiweb complete automatic winders for thermoformable sheets
