Mark Ellam INTERVIEW

Interview wit

Please could you tell us a little bit about yourself to start with? I am 48 originally moved from California to England 22 years ago. I have always had an interest and passion in photography and the arts, as well as playing guitar and song writing. Could you share with us how you first became interested in photography? After leaving school I went and did an apprenticeship at a professional lab printing work for photographers. I learnt about printing black and white and color, as well as dark room work. After that I moved back to the states, and worked in professional labs doing the same kind of work. I then returned to England 2 years later and got an apprenticeship working in a photography studio doing commercial PR work, portraits and weddings. This led me into setting up and running my

th Mark Ellam

own commercial photography business for 14 years, until I was hit hard by the recession. Mark, your work seems really based in your community and with a personal Connection to your subjects, how did that come about? After hard times with losing my business and my marriage breaking down, I found myself homeless and struggling with life and financially living. A friend gave me a camera saying I should start shooting again as this is my passion, so I hit the streets. I found I had a connection with the people on the streets, so through this connection my journey began and I started up my latest business, which is Krouch.

Interview wit

There’s a very strong sense of “being right there with you on the streets” in your work, how is it as a photographer on the streets of Britain these days? It’s great, if approached properly with respect shown to the people you shoot. This enables you to capture real life there and then. Always carrying a camera where ever you go is the way to be. I see a real tough edge to your photos, how would you best describe your style and what you’re trying to convey? I only give myself less than a minute to shoot my subject; I talk and learn about my subject’s stories. This gives me an insight into the personality of the person this then portrays emotion in the image; I then shoot the shot capturing this wonderful essence of the person.

th Mark Ellam

There are some incredibly soulful photos in your gallery where your subjects are looking straight into the camera. How much do you interact with your subjects to get the kind of reaction? I converse a lot with my subject this is really important, I then shoot whilst talking, this allows the person to feel comfortable and not intimidated by the camera and me, they relax and communicate themselves to me allowing me to capture a pure shot.

Interview wit

I get a strong sense of compassion and connection in your work, how important is that for you when you’re shooting? Absolutely it’s so important, it’s all about capturing the essence of the person and what they are feeling and going through. Have you ever taken a photograph, which affected your emotional balance in a deep way? Yes a lot of the pictures I take affect me emotionally, I think this is part of the process especially when I know the back ground stories of my subjects which can be harrowing as well as inspirational.

th Mark Ellam

If you had to pick a photograph today as your favorite which one would it be and why? There are lots of photographs that mean a lot to me, this is because of the connection I have with the subject and their stories. I do really like playing with reflections in my shots especially reflections of my hometown. Has your style of shooting changed since you first started? Yes totally and it’s still evolving. I have gone from shooting commercial work, portraits and weddings to shooting for my self as an artist.

Interview wit Who are you favorite photographers? Any one who influenced your work and style? I have a few but personally I really like and admire Bruce Gilden’s work. How much does your equipment help you to execute your artistic vision and what kind of equipment are you using? I use a simple £50 compact, I found by using a cheap good quality compact camera, this is less intimidating to the subject. All shots that you see are shot using this camera. What are some of the most important lessons you have learned from shooting on the streets? Be yourself, never judge, learn listen and enjoy. I have met so many amazing people. Shoot and capture a moment, no prep be prepared for anything to come your way, and open your mind. Do you have any tips or advice for someone starting out in street photography? Always carry your camera everywhere. Be sensitive and aware of your subjects, don’t be afraid to shoot or approach, but always be respectful.

th Mark Ellam

Interview wit

Are there any special projects you’re working on currently which you? Would like to introduce here? Yes, Krouch, this is my new website which is a working website selling images to raise money for good people in our community, the unsung hero’s. There is also a kid’s competition section, which is about inspiring young photographers, which I am very passionate about.

th Mark Ellam

Last but not least the Big Question what is Street Photography for you? It’s my saviour, my passion and love.

Mark, many thanks for this interesting interview! +++ This Interview was conducted by Gerri McLaughlin Editor @ EYE-Photo Magazine +++

Alina Autumn PHOTOREVIEW

Photoreview My name is Alina Autumn, I am 24 years old. I am a creative photographer from Saratov, Russia. I now live and photograph in Moscow. Alina Autumn is a pseudonym. I chose it even before I started doing photography, but my pictures later became his reflection. Autumn is the best time of year to bare his soul. For me the photo is a way to share with people the thoughts and feelings by means of visual images. I like to create tragic, sensual, womanly images, to reflect the soul in the photo. It is important for me that the photo doesn’t leave the viewer indifferent, and that I told him a small story. I am inspired by the natural beauty of people, nature, cinema, vintage, light and color. I photograph people for the fourth year. When I took the camera in hand, it is not yet known what will happen in the end. I wanted to reflect the soul of the human and harmony with nature. Every creative photographer in the beginning of his way, spends a lot of time to find himself and his style. I am no exception. Thanks to the support of people who have seen my photos as the whole story, I didn‘t stop. For me photography is the only art form through which I can speak to the world. It fascinates me when people say they see in my photos the whole story. I often receive heartfelt messages from people who inspire me to photograph more. First, you don‘t even believe that these words are addressed to you. It is important to understand that all is not in vain. Creativity exists only when it receives a response. Three years ago I had a manual lens called „Helios“. This is an inexpensive lens that helped me to begin to do the first art images. It still serves me good. I process my photos in the program „Lightroom“. Sometimes color correction is most time consuming, because I want to select the perfect color that will make it harmonious and atmospheric.

Alina Autumn As I have written, the photo helps me to talk to the world. In my photographs I not only reflect the soul of a photograph, but also share particles. I‘m sensitive to their creativity. I‘d like to share with people, but I‘m afraid to be misunderstood. When I am visited by the idea for creation of pictures, I do sketches or record it in a notebook. The idea is hardly born but it incidentally occupies all my thoughts. I begin searching for objects to shot, I consider over clothes, details, location and color scale. Idea for photos may come to my mind unexpectedly, but under the influence of something that I‘ve seen, heard or felt... I can see a certain color, ellement a clothing, a place or a person, a picture or even dried flowers: it may become a source of inspiration. I love to implement my ideas in the near future, otherwise I‘m afraid they would dissolve. Sometimes my favorite photographers inspires me. From the Russian artists I like: Natalia Drepina, Alexandra Bochkareva, Daria Orlova-Djalalova. From overseas: Monia Merlo and Marta Bevacqua. I am very close to the vision of these stunning girls. I love taking pictures of girls without makeup. I am fascinated by the natural beauty. I will always admire albinos and girls with freckles. I find my models mostly on social networking sites. Many of the people I photograph become my muses. In August I traveled to my home town with one of my muses. We made some spontaneous photos. In the end, one of the photos was chosen for the cover of the book of the Italian author Domenico Romano Mantovan. It was the biggest achievement for me so far. The book with my picture stays with me for my life, it‘s a great feeling! It seems to me that a photo becomes truly meaningful when it is printed. You can touch it. In these moments you feel yourself like a real wizard.

Photoreview -

I, like all creative people, have periods of calm. Despite my alias, and my love of the autumn, it was during this period I was „in hibernation“. I need time for that with new forces to continue to create. I would like to advise all photographers who are experiencing similar feelings not to despair, but to find in this period, the pros. Most important thing is not to throw away a favorite thing, not to be afraid to be yourself and practice more. Take photos of those who inspire you, try to use the space and take photos with meaning. It is important to put your heart into what you are doing and then your work will resonate. Visit Alina at: Instagram:

As a professional- and street photographer, my primary photographic goal is to capture strong visual elements, such as mystery, feelings, harmony & simplicity. This unique art also exists as an artistic expression of myself, a great field of continuous self – discovery, a path for personal creative fulfillment through the ever-changing vision of this world. Carlos Aliperti PHOTOREVIEW

Photoreview -

An outburst of the soul, this is how I see the photograph, with which I had contact in adolescence. I treasure a Zeiss Ikon Contarex, which was my father‘s, companion to my first photographic experiences. Tired of analog photography and the „smell of acetic acid,“ I decided to take a break. And there were ten years vanish without photographing, until, six years ago, stimulated by the evolution of digital equipment, I returned back to my passion. It puzzels me when I hear someone saying they miss analog photography. I work as art director, graphic designer and photographer for my clients in fashion, architecture, industry and other products. However, I reserve my moments of leisure to photograph what really makes me accomplished and happy. I do not dwell on patterns, styles or series and photographer without haste, because for every photograph, there is the right place, the right moment and, especially, the right mood. Photoreview I was born in 1987 in small town in the north of Germany called Rostock. For Christmas 2009 I bought Canon

myself AE-1

a

film

camera, which was the

starting

point

of

my

photo

journey.

I´m a skateboarder and was a lot around photographers who shot us skating on tour. So I became interested how it works and when I looked though the viewfinder of an old Nikon FM2 from a friend of mine, I was hooked. It looked so fascinating and the idea of freezing something through the finder of this film camera astonished me. To cut a long story short, I bought the AE-1 and started shooting my life as a skateboarder. I had a friend, who was my mentor. He was a skatephotographer and I was/am a fan of his work. So he taught me a lot about shooting photos, editing and the general rules of photography. After some time I started developing the films myself and I luckily got darkroom equipment the make my own prints. Besides Skating, I started shooting portraits of my friends a lot and I felt sort of a passion for that too. Within the last years I got myself numerous cameras and tried a lot of different things and formats. Here you can see some of my favorite portrait photos from the last couple of years, all shot on black and white film. Erik Gross Photographer, Rostock, Germany

Jamari Lior PHOTOREVIEW

Photoreview

Jamari‘s main interest lies in the field of culture in the sense of how people live, what moves people. To her, photography reveals the central motivations people have. In ethnographic photography it matters to capture the right moment, and to achieve this one should have stayed in a cultural context for a longer while. In staged or model photography it matters to capture a certain zeitgeist, which also requires a closer look. This matches Jamari‘s education as a media scientist and visual anthropologist. At first being more interested in analyzing than creating images, Germany-born Jamari went to India to study for a while. There she was asked to model and thus got her first insights into practical photography. Back to Germany she soon changed sides and started to take pictures herself.

- Jamari Lior

Jamari holds a PhD in visual anthropology and is teaching photography related topics at various institutions such as the Fotoakademie Kรถln (Germany) and the Indian Institute of Photography, giving speeches at conferences and writing books and magazine articles about photography.

Juliette Mansour PHOTOREVIEW

Photoreview - Ju Juliette Mansour is a first-generation American female artist born and raised in Atlanta, Georgia. Her passion for art and culture (and a strong attachment to a Kodak Instamatic camera) started at an early age, but it would remain dormant for many years. As a college student, Juliette majored in Romance Languages followed by a Master‘s Degree in Applied Linguistics and Teaching English as a Second Language. A few years later, her language career took a sharp left turn toward web technology, marketing and communication, but Juliette sensed that something was still missing. Although since childhood, she travelled frequently abroad, it wasn’t until 2004 during one of her trips to her mother‘s birth country of Colombia, South America when Juliette’s interest in photography turned serious. Then the “long lost” artist inside her sat up and began to focus on visual arts and photography, reconnecting herself with the energies that first drew her to people and cultures. Juliette purchased her first digital camera and began following her impulse to photograph candid life scenes by diving into street and event photography. Eventually, Juliette Mansour Photography was created as the artistic extension of her professional company, Casa Dresden. Today, Juliette experiments with a number of genres but has spent most of her free time actively grooming herself as one of the few selfproclaimed classic street photographers in Atlanta. Inspired her own fascination with street photography and the amazing back story of street photographer, Vivian Maier, she founded The Atlanta Street Photography Group, through which she collaborates with other street photographers, mostly male.

uliette Mansour About practicing the art of street photography as a woman, she says, “From just a practical standpoint, it‘s easier for women to be less obtrusive, less threatening when photographing strangers. I always joke with the guys in my street group that I can get away with way more than they can with just a smile! On a deeper level, there is a character and style that we as photographers unwittingly translate to our final shots and I think the female nuance can be felt in those photos. Photographing street (which for me, is mostly defined as candid everyday life experiences) is not necessarily something that men nor women can do better. However, I think women by nature (as a rule) are more readily prone to empathy and this can connect us to our subject in a different way, although I know some very empathic men who can do the same. For me, this empathy strengthens my own awareness of who we are, how we interact in the world together, and to life itself. Male or female, this is what we as street photographers do and this is what I love about the genre - the awareness. I share this awareness so I can inspire it in others because as we become more aware of who we are and how we interact in the world, we bloom and prosper. We become nicer, happier people. We do better things in the world. So, making photographs is my small contribution to life and to people. In her free time, Juliette continues to use her language and communication skills to blog on her website, Juliette Mansour - the Additional f-Stop, which is her way of sharing how she uses photography to become more mindful and improve the overall creative process. Juliette also actively travels within the United States and abroad, including return trips to Colombia where she enjoys reconnecting with family and capturing new street scenes. Juliette shoots digital, 35mm and medium format film and built a darkroom in her home where she develops, scans and prints. She experiments with other genres and is currently working on personal photo projects which include visual storytelling series. Her work has been featured in group shows in Atlanta and in online magazines and social media outlets.

urban

photography

since more than 10 years. Karlheinz about his work: “I love to capture people in various situations on street. Life takes place literary right on the street. It’s full of emotions and stories, sometimes fun, sometimes sad. There is just a thin line between light and shade. I try to capture this in my photographs and prefer the rugged style, nothing to embellish, pure, raw and sometimes dirty. Life is not a peaceful river. In my photographs I try to capture this. Street and urban photography is the most honest way of photography and that is exactly what I’m fascinated about – right from the beginning.“

Photoreview I was born in Malmรถ, Sweden, and I started out with photography already at the age of 10. I studied at a photography school for two years and thereafter became employed as a press photographer on a Photo Agency. I was mostly covering news for different newspapers and magazines. In 1968 I started my own business as a freelance photographer which I combined with extensive travel around Europe and the United States. It was during these trips I started to focus on street photography. I have always been interested in photographing people, to walk the streets and try to capture the rapidly passing moments, which for many of us go unnoticed. Since many years I am back living in Stockholm but I also lived a few years in Los Angeles in the late 1970s working for Swedish magazines. Because of my work as

Michal Vรถrรถs PHOTOREVIEW

Photoreview -

Michal Vörös, photographer, Bratislava, Slovakia Michal about his series „On the edge of the reality“: „These are photos where I communicate what is hidden in the visible, what is behind the horizon - the edge of the reality….where the viewer “has to“ use his or her imagination and where there is some feeling what is behind there („behind the horizon”). Is there the end or the beginning of something; is this the infinity (like the metaphor for the essence of being) in photography? Too many “unclear” questions but this is an intention with an open end. There is a big accent on the mood. The key words could be mood, emotions, and feelings. These are those “things” which comes from somewhere inside…..one of my main goal is to cause feelings…I am not talking about unity…it can be peace...what is for me peace can be for somebody else maybe sadness, loneliness….but it doesn‘t matter, what is important is some feeling.

- Michal Vörös

I try to communicate what I mentioned above via nature, birds, trees….not via human stories. Nature helped me the most to understand, to live, to feel the present moment, the moment of “existence”. These photos are mostly blurry, unsharp, technically many times not “correct“ etc. I think this give them that feeling what I mentioned above. Mood is also a great “excuse“ for me to use one of my favorite style - blurry and unsharp photography.

About the series „Sunrise - Diversity in unity“: I tried to choose one of the most ordinary themes; here I chose photos where you can see the whole sun (sun-disk). What can be interesting all these photos were taken at the “same place”. There is a lake between Okoč and Veľký Meďer (Slovakia) - a really small lake, by walking it is about 40 minutes to make a round with my dog an hour! I took photos about this place for around 2 years but the last year regularly. I mentioned it because in spite of it being an ordinary theme it has also a message…that the beauty (sunrise like the “act“ is usually beautiful for people) we can find it everywhere, in big cities, mountains, above the oceans and also on small places …it has many forms, it can be different…it is up to us to realize it, see it. Also this is the reason why is the name of this series “Diversity in unity”. I try, want to celebrate nature with these photos, every sunrise what I see it also means a new beginning for me, new chances to be a better person or make better things than day before…. this is the symbolical meaning.

Patrick Jacquet PHOTOREVIEW

Photoreview Patrick Jacquet is a selftaught photographer enjoying his passion for photography for more than 30 years. Over these decades, he learned and mastered complex photography techniques that he’s using as basic tools to release his creativity. For almost 20 years, he’s been sharing his experience and passion through “Mise Au Point”… a photographic association specialized in training and photo coaching. „My favourite area? Very high resolution panoramic landscapes“ In order to share his vision which goes far beyond what a wide angle lens can provide, Patrick specialized in mixing different photo techniques like stitching, bracketing and long exposure. «360 Visions» photo series is probably one of his best showcase where very high resolution views bring you into new well-rounded parallel worlds. This photo series has recently been exhibited in famous Montier photo festival... one of the biggest photo festivals in Europe. „Mastering photo techniques doesn’t make a good photograph, but, without that, your heart is silent“ From hyper macro photography to gigapixel panoramic views, from architecture to sport, from fashion to Fine Art, Patrick is able to play successfully across various domains, coming up with outstanding series and being exhibited in International photo festivals. His notoriety began happening in the USA where he worked for more than 9 years. His passion is only limited by spare-time he can allocate to it…

Sanchit Kapoor PHOTOREVIEW

Photoreview - Sanchit Kapoor „When words are not enough, a picture describes the sentiments“. This thought hit me a long time back during my graduations. I, Sanchit Kapoor, an introvert person could never think of anything better to express thoughts and emotions other than pictures since that time the journey of my photography life begun. Born and bought up in Delhi, which is a hub for people who are in a rush to be successful, I felt an urge to hold on and capture the moments of the flashing lifestyle of living beings around us which words probably can never express. It was that disconcerting moment in my life where I had to clinch the fate of my life. I had to choose between whether I needed to complete my MCA or to opt for a career in photography, which was basically my dream. This lead to so much of agitation and made me a victim of insomnia. But finally I came up with a decision which was to quit my MCA and move out to acquire in depth knowledge of photography and be a self-established & acclaimed photographer. I was well known about the contingency caused due to the nervy decisions I took earlier, but I had no other options left than putting everything I had, into my work. I have been learning photography for the last 3 years and have been a professional photographer in the past 2 years. My professional journey in photography started from Indian classical dance photography which includes Bharatnatyam, Kathak, Oddisi etc... Snipping the dance moves and understanding the real allusions of each and every step gives me an immense pleasure and peace. An adjoining track on this journey are photo shoots with the dancers, both indoors and outdoors an moving ahead to this, I‘m also giving fashion photography a shot. I have not kept confined my photography skills to only one subject. Beside of classical dancing my portfolio also includes nature, street and fashion photography as well. Photography is more like a meditation to me. I believe „behind every perfect picture is not a perfect camera, but a passionate person behind that camera.“

Sa r a D o n k e r s PHOTOREVIEW

Photoreview Since childhood I have been fascinated by photography. After several years working as a psychologist, my passion for visual arts led me to the Photo Academy in Amsterdam. My interest in people continued. I graduated in 2012. Since then my work is represented by Blooz Gallery and I had several exhibitions, publications and assignments as a portrait photographer. In 2015 I was chosen for New Dutch Photography Talent 2015. Empowerment of women is a theme in my photography: pussy power! I like to photograph strong and independent women. The images show a story of women who have been scarred by life. They demand recognition. There‘s some protest in my photos. The ambivalence among women who want to take control and show vulnerability I find interesting. Currently I‘m working on a project in which I photograph portraits of women who experienced an orgasm. There is so much energy. This is primal power. As a woman you say: Here I am! I am looking for museums or galleries to exhibit this project.

Swee OH PHOTOREVIEW

Photoreview Swee Oh is an internationally acclaimed fine art photographer, based in San Francisco, California. She is originally from Malaysia. Her work is focused in her two favorite genres of photography - Architecture and Street Photography. Swee brings together her professional background in architecture with a keen artistic eye to create stunning architectural photographs that have won many prestigious awards. Her deep interest in people and places delivers insightful street photography and memorable street portraiture. In all of her photographs, whether architectural or street, Swee tells visual stories that both stir emotions and hold the viewer‘s attention. Swee‘s visual world is deeply influenced by how she uses light, form, shadows and textures in her work. The Project: The project presented in this article focuses on fine art and geometric street photography. In it we can see how Swee is drawn to lines, shapes, tones, patterns, and angles. We see how she composes them to create a single frame story. Her vision for street photography is to integrate architecture with a human element. The architecture in the background forms the stage upon which the human element is the actor. A specific person is not necessarily the main focus of the story, but represents the relationship between human presence and the surrounding built environment. This combination generates the narrative. For Swee the difference between her purely architectural photography and her street photography is the challenge of combining layers and content in the frame. Key is the placement of foreground, middle ground and background elements without creating distractions that distract from and drown out that critical human element. Light is important to her work as it creates the shadows and contrast which shape stories. It is what shows us her vision, perhaps creating a sense of mystery while at the same time teasing soul from the architecture. Dark and light negative spaces often dramatically change the mood and narrative of an image. It can reinforce both positive and negative emotions. Swee shoots in both color and black and white, depending on the mood and story she is looking to capture. Swee Oh Photographer, California, USA Web - architecture:

Sylvain Entressangle PHOTOREVIEW

Photoreview - Sylv I am Sylvain Entressangle. I was born in 1970 in Nice in the south of France and I live today in Paris. Having been a musician for over 25 years, I started photography 12 years ago. I learned photography as a self-taught photographer. I started at first to shoot in digital and then in analogic. According to the projects, I use any type of cameras (digital or film cameras, square format, panoramic, large format, 1920’s cameras...). I founded my photographic work on color, its alteration, and the atmosphere. My photographic approach is based on impressions and feelings received during the shooting. Then I try to recreate that memory in digital lab, to prolong the excitement and mystery. My main subjects are quite varied, and I like to experiment. I work with living models (portraits, nudes), superimpositions of movements (inspired by the nude descending the stairs of Duchamp), landscapes, sculptures, videogames ... I have participated for 7 years in the collective Unclear Picture which proposes to combine different medium such as photography, texts and music (www.unclearpicture.com). My influences come from different directions, not just from photography. For example by movie directors such as Ridley Scott, Wong Kar Wai or Zack Snyder. Painting with the colors of Matisse, Kandinsky, painters of the Hudson River school for composition. My favorite photographer are the Czech photographers Josef Sudek, Jan Saudek, Josef Koudelka, and the fabulous Sebastiao Salgado. Music influences me a lot since I use it constantly when shooting and editing series. The graphic universe of video games influences me since I use it as working material (videogame photos series).

++ PROJECTS BACKGROUND Dermis series : The Dermis series offers to see the female body in a corner that hides and reveals at once. In four series of pictures, Fawnya, Blondie, Kathy and Cindy posed without knowing the panomaric constraints of the future format. It reveals the thrill, tension or appeasement with the desire to capture the intimate and non-intimate. Libre series : This series is based on the Khalil Gibran text „You shall be free indeed when your days are not without a care nor your nights without a want and a grief, But rather when these things girdle your life and yet you rise above them naked and unbound“. The Libre series was performed by the dancer “Cilou from Paris”.

Thomas T o f t PHOTOREVIEW

Photoreview My name is Thomas Toft. I‘m 40 years old and I live in Copenhagen, Denmark. I‘m a teacher and work full time in a kindergarten, so my time on the streets can be very limited. About four years ago, whenever I had a few hours of spare time, I found myself passing time watching whatever was on TV. Life is too short for that, so I decided to get a hobby. I used to skateboard a lot, but a spine injury forced me to quit that. A good friend of mine, Chris Hoff, was already shooting street photography and skateboarding and I loved what he was creating (and still does), so I decided to give photography a go. I bought a Canon 7D and some lenses. My initial thought was to shoot a lot of skateboarding, as I knew and liked the environment and had a lot of connections there. But very fast I found out that street photography was what I wanted to do. All you need is a camera in your bag or a phone in your pocket and if you come across something interesting, you just stop and start shooting. Anywhere, everywhere and at any time. I like that a lot. Whenever I hit the streets, I love experimenting with different compositions, points of view, lines, reflection, light and shadows and stuff like that. I love that feeling when you push the button and you just know you caught the right moment. Quite an amazing feeling. I never really read any books about photography, but when I bought the 7D I made a profile on Flickr. For me it’s a fantastic platform, with an amazing community and so many talented photographers and so much inspiration to gain. Whenever I go shooting, I do it for myself only. I get really happy if people like my photographs, but that is just an added bonus. For me, photography is like mental therapy: There is only one focus. All problems and thoughts are put aside and the next shot is all I think about. I really like that state of mind. I always shoot in color but over 90% of the time I convert to black and white. I just like to have the option. When I see a scene I really like, I always think composition first and when I know how I want the shot to be, I can‘t let it go unless I get it. I can return to the same location several days in a row, waiting for hours for the right shot. With a full time job, a wife and three kids that can be challenging but it‘s also one of the things I love about street photography. After a few years of shooting, I bought the Fuji X10 and after a little while more the Fuji X100S. Both fantastic street cameras, silent and discreet. Recently I have just sold my old Canon 7D and instead bought the Fuji X-T2. The end of a beautiful relationship with the 7D and hopefully the beginning of a new one with the X-T2.
