Dear Friends and Members! What a gripping competition, what a fantastic event!! Our very first photo book competition and your participation exceeded our wildest expectations by far!!! It was an exciting roller-coaster, thrilling all the way from the very first moment until the last moment. In just one month we counted over 1200 participants from all over the world and nearly 800 photo submissions!!! Our decision was decidedly difficult but finally we made it! Since we were totally overwhelmed by your active participation, the editor’s board decided to publish this SPECIAL ISSUE in honor of you all!! The first three places belong to: 1. Alperr Padiermos – winning the first price, a photo book by Martin Parr and being on the cover of our special issue 2. Jeffrey De Keyser – winning a limited print of Chris Candid’s fantastic photograph “The Phone” 3. Ramani Sanjay – winning Book by David Gibson “The Street Photographer’s Manual” Besides the first three places we published 57 shortlisted photographs. A special and huge THANKS to Chris Candid, our editor and columnist, who not only initialized and curated the competition but also donated all the fantastic prizes. Thank you for all your participation, we hope you had a lot of fun and we are looking forward to your participation in the next exciting photo competition by EYE-Photo Magazine! EYE-Photo Magazine is an independent, online magazine, providing a platform to talented and enthusiastic photographers from all over the world to present their work, regardless their genre, to an international readership.
