How did you get into street photography?
A
I‘m interested in people very much. So I‘d like to capture lively people as themselves, I go to the street to shoot people as a slice of life.
What is it in your subjects that make you want to capture them?
A
I want to capture the moments that are beyond my imagination.

Your street photographs are mainly in B&W. What do you think makes you chose B&W over color in street photography?
A
I‘d like to express people and the street‘s emotion and energy first of all. B&W is more emotional than color. So I choose B&W.
How much does your equipment help you to execute your artistic vision?
A
As gear I’m mainly using a Fuji X100T which is pretty good for street shooting. I like it very much. It‘s very helpful to express my vision and to shoot decisive moments.
What would you tell a newcomer who asks for your advice on how to start?
A
Just go out now to shoot on the street, shoot anything that fascinates you, then you will find your theme to shoot. If you find your theme keep on shooting!
